I can´t call this anything else but a bug. I write a message like this: And it appears like this: Iam using Firefox 1.5.0.4 browser. I have tried multiple times to add spaces between the texts but no success so far.

Read about the thing in www.civfanatics.com site and it sounds very cool. What do you think, could something like that work in GC2 too? I know DA will bring new stuff to diplomacy, but I think now is the right time to discuss these things, maybe SD can get some new ideas. In my mind if a civilizations military is crushed totally, the civilization should plead for peace and become a vassal civilization for the stronger civ. Ofcourse it would be up to stronger side if he wou
Glaring bugs indeed ignuss and I certainly expect 1.3 to fix these (as it is advertised as bug crunching). I would also like to see the inaccurate Goverment text fixed in F6 screen (forgot the name )
Sounds sweet Spartan! This could be the thing that keeps us gaming untill DA
There was a poll awhile ago where only about 10% or was it 5% of the players wanted anykind of multiplayer. So it that was a clear signal to SD not to diver resources on multiplayer development. The DA expansion pack will not have multiplayer either so maybe in GC3, which wont come out in years as I understanded. There is no multiplayer mod for GC2, but Iam not sure if it impossible to create one. I doubt it since GC2 has none what so ever multiplayer implemented. RTW had TCP/IP gamin
DA alrdy pre ordered here! Iam curious about the picture frogboy posted. Are we getting sweet formation fleet battles with 1.3 or with DA? Please say they come with 1.3, the combat viewer has lost all its initial apeal because the bumping cars battles. Imagine, two huge armadas moving closer to each and at the same time pounding each other to bits. <img src="http://images.stard
Have you been using betas in the past with your current install of GC2 ? I installed all the betas and official versions from 1.0 -> 1.2 and many of my problems went away after I did a fresh install of GC2 and patched it up. If you have used betas give it ago. I recomend this since I dont witness example "deleted designs dont go away" problems etc. Iam also bit confused about the ship selection. Its not very streamlined in my mind. :/ But thats just a feeling cannot say fo
Hopefully there will be a open beta. There was some glaring UI issues and others in 1.0 GC2, hopefully SD learns from it.
I usually create Cylons So that the Yor dont feel lonely as only evil robots. +20% pop growth, +20 economics and something random. Political party is Technologists with research and sensor bonus.
This situation has been going on for quite some time. Iam going to finish that game today if possible. But like previous people have said, AI has never broken up a alliance with me before. Sure looks like they would like to, but just seems they are not capable of doing so in 1.2 .
Ok I give up with the file postings. Post was doned with firefox 1.5.0.4 and I copy pasted straight links to "insert web link" window :( here are the straight links: http://www.turixline.fi/tomas/QuickSave.sav http://www.turixline.fi/tomas/debug.err
Ok Iam not sure if this is a bug but frogboy should really look into this one. Let the picture speak for itself: In that game Iam allied with Arcaens. But still what the heck is he moving literally all his fleets next to my homeworld?? here is the save game if you need it http://www.turixline.fi/tomas/QuickSave.sav">Link and debug.err [link
Deleting the custom ships would be nice button too. Its not hard to delete them from the folder, but a button in game UI would be ok too.
always post your debug.err with bug report. Just copy paste it on the post screen, from it we can see your system and GC2 version. And possible the bug if it excists. Before posting a bug you should always have all drivers updated on your machine aswell gc2 latest version.
I also think SD has doned a very nice job with GC2. One thing I would stress out is better or bigger beta tester team. The original had some clear UI flaws in it. I just keep wondering why did not the beta team spot these. Sometimes things are hard to spot, but I guess anybody of us could have noted the awful ship upgrading system the original had. I must also point out the extreme pain it is to give AI correct ships with diplomacy screen. Having to write down ship names on paper before opening
Something to be fixed in 1.3 I presume. 1.3 should be only bug fixes and such, no more feature which cause more bugs
Vassals for the win
Indeed I have strange behaviour with my Sensor ships sometimes. Especially when they are destroyed, I often still can see their FOV.
I like it, good work!
Well its about time! The forum readability is in my mind better. What do you think , have you noticed something weird or differences compared to the old forum?
Now that you brought taxation to the table I must ask. Old topic for sure but here it goes. I have approval 60% and elections are next turn. If I lower my tax so that my approval is 90% how does the election react? Do the people remember past years terrible taxation or are they happy that turn before election taxes are dropped?
From the looks of it, Dark Avatar will bring better diplomacy & polic options to the table. Which is nice
Some talk about the expansion http://www.firingsquad.com/games/gc2_dark_avatar_interview/
Indeed and the unhabitable planets will be colonizable through research in DA expansion. Good time ahead
Just as the feature "space button moves auto pilot moves". Gah why did they not bring all the good stuff from GC1
