I always seem to end up picking that 1 point Creativity bonus when setting up my race. I was wondering, has anyone seen if it actually helps out. Does it ever make you pop out a free tech or make unexpected advances or does it just increase the chance of tech advances when exploring anomalies?
The A.I. in this game is the first A.I. I have ever seen in any strategy game that redily gives gifts to me to appease my powerful empire. I think thats awesome, I've always wanted tribute.
My Ebgames order with overnight shipping was originally scheduled for arrival on the 27th but was rescheduled, I became infuriated and dug into UPSs terms and conditions and found out that it is a gaurunteed shipping service, so I threw their rule book at them and want my expensive shipping refunded. Ok, I preordered the game from EB back at the beggining of Feb. and by now as most of you know, EB and many other companies are all backordered and whatnot. Well, today me and my wife went to Best Buy to buy a new MP3 player gadget and I had to run by the PC games and see if GCII was there. I'm insanley mad b/c at present EB games is [waiting for stock], for my preorder of GCII. I ordered from them to get my gamespot complete discount. If I cancel my order at EB and download the game from Stardock, will I still get all the goodness? tech tree, and whatever else?
Specifically for Best Buy, when checking I saw an "in-stock" date of the 28th on the company system with most stores placing an initial 4 on order. Mind you, I check about 6 stores scattered through South Carolina, North Carolina and Georgia, so it could be different for other markets. BB has truly fallen to low PC gaming standards.

I work at Best Buy and checked on my stores order status about two weeks ago, back then GCII didnt even show up in the system, that is REALLY wierd, even small releases and delayed releases usually show up in the system way before release. I'll check again today (Sunday) since I'm going in at 1pm. I just got home from Best Buy, I checked our inventory system and there isnt anything at all in there "right now", doesnt mean it wont be, but it does mean we arent preordering anywhere in our district at this time (my district is pretty much all of SC, some of NC and some of GA in the US). Not sure about other districts but can find out if anyone wants me to look. We do have different marketing and merchandise selections in certain sections of the country where they deem it "profitable" enough
