No, it's a crap idea, that's why I don't want them. THEY ARE NOT NEEDED. When will you understand?

Shields wont be able to stop everything, just so you know. You can't change game mechanics like that.
You can't use it with metaverse, since it requires the use of cheat codes.
Delete all the .bik fields, and then alter the defaultTradePortrait to what you want, so it has the same layout as a minor race. In other words. Gfx\Race\Trade_Race0_Neutral.png 0_Trade00.bik 0_Trade02.bik < Unfriend
I like to have my taxes at the 79% cap. And don't forget, 100% morale has double growth, so it's always worth having.
The raceconfig.xml should have a file for it. I think it's default trade movie, and it's a .bik file. Delete that entry and use the static image.
There is only one functional module, the other is decoration.
My first targets are bases anyway. Tankers are a bad idea and completely unneeded.
I can confirm this bug with beta 1.3. Changing back to Ver. 1.2 settled that. As I am to lazy to change the settings (using Germany with us-game) I will wait on another beta/final patch 1.3. Using German settings will cause crashes with older versions aswell. 1.3 is just more noticable.
The way income is worked out means the square root of the population counts, not actual population. Therefore 100bil is roughly 3 times better than 10 bil, in terms of income. Also, the morale modifier is a steep gradient, reaching a point of -260% morale at 26billion, when population stops affecting morale. Stock Markets > Farms. High population planets are NOT suitable for tax farming, but they are good for soldiers.
If you want your old language settings, change it back and then make sure the decimalisation is 1,000.00 (US decimal). The game won't work with German decimal, simple as that.
Do not run the beta in a non-english regional setting, the decimalisation causes issues with the game. If you still wish to use the beta, then change your regional settings to US English.
Change your regional settings to US English, that bug is apparently caused by the game not correctly recognising the european 1.000,00 decimalisation.
No it couldn't, Stardock have already said that.
Erm... yes you do have to screw with "paliament". That's what the senate is, and it's been a reasonably popular choice for additions to the gameplay (more interplnaetary politics)
You only kill taxpayers. Thankfully, I'm too young too pay tax
Moosetek: The game is running too high a resolution for it to cope with, as you guessed. Fiddle with the prefs.ini file, and set it to a lower resolution, it should hopefully run fine.
Sounds like a bug. Omega research center provides 50% TO THAT PLANET ONLY. Orbital terraformer should not remove tiles, so if you could poke a dev, that would be awesome. It *should* be 50%, might be 30%. Fairly sure I've got them stacking before.
No, I'm not 15. I'm 16, by virtue of a birthday. Yes, I live in the UK. Kryo: done. I also apologise to any who I may have offended in my post, as I have a tendancy to act like a jackass. I will now leave this conversation, and not post in it again.
Still full of yourself, ay, Mr. Pad? Keep on insulting; it's what you do best. Isn't it though!
Normal also got made harder, with the AI allowed more algorithms (since there are new levels inbetween), and it's closer to it's 1.0 self, which was pretty close to tough. In other words, you'd probably be playing 1.0 tough right now
I've never seen an .err file like that before, and that must take an irritatingly long time to crash. Erm, try a clean install? Stardock are out until monday, so if the reinstall fails, just head to irc.stardock.com, channel #galciv and give someone a poke.
Right, so can we get the debug.err file? Because if there is something going wrong with the game, it would make it easier to see what it is, and then be able to get a fix, so it won't crash again. Even if it isn't crashing now, it's still worth seeing whether or not it was just a driver issue, or something else.
Can you describe exactly what causes the bug, what happens when it occurs, and post a debug.err file? That makes it much easier for a fix.
But i got some news for you: YOU are NOT more intelligent then anyone other in these forums. Actually that's quite wrong, but go ahead. No you just insult everyone that didnt got the same opinion as you. Cause
