Eh? The human race is nowhere near the best. That title has famously lied with either the Drath or the Yor. Probably going to swing back to Yor now, with the miniturisation changes. However, in the end it depends on your playstyle. If you play a diplomat, then you're going to be good with humans. If your thing is crushing the galaxy, then the Drengin or Yor are for you. The Economists among us have a tendancy to meld with the Korx. And since I'm a sneaky, subversive, evil sod, I play th

That's true though. There is NO copy protection, whatsoever. You can get 1.0x and I think 1.1 without the serial. The serial is to allow you to re-download the game once you lose it. Once again: If you lose the CD, change a computer, move country, you will STILL be able to play the FULL version after redownloading it. You never again need the code, it's tied to your stardock account. And activiation is not required to play the game. Only to get the latest updates. That's not co
You... don't know... Python? can't... breathe... *faints* And w00t for Frogboy!
Then why are you playing challenging, if it's so easy?
DG is right it is the beta! I just told about it to Cari, I really want to download the beta because of the planet lights fix, but I don't want my games to appear with a "Cheating Flag"! Then don't play MV for a month Anything to do with the modifi
You know, I don't do it intentionally. Put it like this "Any post on the forums by someone who hasn't been here before will automatically, unknowingly, bring with them a dead horse. Poor Marcathonas must inform them that their horse is dead, so beating it shall do no good, since he was going to answer the other stuff anyway".
They place starbases randomly to extend their range, they couldn't give a damn what happens to them. It all helps.
Of course it would be doable. It's not going to happen. And Azrune, there have been better ideas equally shot down. It's been said time an again, it's not happening. Leave the horse alone.
I sometimes wonder if computers are worth the trouble. And this comes from someone who is fairly adept with the technology. Speaking as someone who despises the Microsoft standard, and constantly being called by parents to fix things that shouldn't, if windows was half decent, be happening, and also as someone who just spent 2 weeks cut off from
No idea what it is until you post the debug.err. It shouldn't be the beta.
It calculates via military power, which takes numerical value of ships into account too much. A ship can probably take on 4 of those half as powerful as it without problems. So it rates the numbers highly, while the fact is ship-ship you're superior. Once it's military is below yours, it starts checking exactly how much it's losing, goes "oh..." and starts begging for surrender. And don't blame the AI for being stupid at challenging. It's still braindead.
Then leave. You ARE the minority, get over it.
Not happening Czert. Planet destruction (not bombardment, just BOOM gone) will be the only thing happening, and that hasn't been heard about for a long time, so not sure if it's still planned. I think system destruction got the boot.
1. Luck is, right now, a bit screwed up. However, it does increase your chances of a good anomaly or finding a "lucky ranger" ship, and seems to be worthwhile for that respect. 2. Reputation is what other races think of you as a whole. A poor reputation means they aren't going to trust you, as you're a renowned backstabber. 3. I'm not sure how to guess it, but at 4.00 the chance to take the planet is VERY small. If the planet has low morale, that helps. While I'm not sure of th
Removing powerful structures: No. You could simply come across a better planet, and switch everything there. The current gameplay requires you to actually think about where you want to place something. Spheres should upgrade to NLCs if you're using the latest version. Terraforming (increase in PQ) won't happen. Terraforming (required research tech BEFORE colonisation) is something for DA. Bombing planets from orbit will NEVER, EVER, EVER happen. This has been stated ma
Can I be head of the anarcho syndilistic commune?
I think Unfunf worked out the scoring formula to be an exact science, and I'll ask him if he could lend it to me. He's quite capable of telling from a score if someone is cheating or exploiting the AI, so I think he should be able to tell how to work it out.
Can you post a debug.err file please, since that has all the system info we need anyway.
Might explain why you only sold 75,000 copies. Being in the top 10 retail games is an "only"? You're talking rubbish here. MP is not needed, not justified, not wanted. GC2 is not half a game, and you show your ignorance of the forum structure. You think people who want nothing new are the only ones who hang out here? Have you been here since rele
If it starts with GC2-, then it's the wrong code. And I've forgotten the email address to get the new one. Also: if not, delete your sig.bin file, and reinstall.
Whethter I'm playing as the Yor, Humans, or Drengin the games "feels" exactly the same. There is very little reference to who you are suppossed to be. What? You must be $GENERIC MILD INSULT! In fact, $RACE_01_EMPORER_NAME_HERE, this game is the most $WHOLEHEARTED COMPLIMENT, and in fact $STATEMENT BASED ON RACE RELATION! But in fairness,
100billion is the population cap.
Unfunf was playing using algorithms. The AI were completely crippled and had absolutely no chance to survive, so 2 years wouldn't be that hard.
Does your code begin with GC2-? if so, it's the wrong one. If you refuse to use support, then frankly having playing issues is your own fault. Also: feel free to go on the IRC to get things fixed. irc.stardock.com #galciv
IE is as convenient as severe diarrhea. And quite comparable to such, IMO. Get opera, it's wonderful and made of pixies and fairy dust. SDC is a download manager, Steam is copy protection, and though they may look the same on the surface, they act differently.
