It's not a virus. It's spyware. Anti-Spyware software is often free, and easy to get hold of. Try using AdAware by lavasoft, that will remove some of the stuff. Remember: spyware isn't going to hurt your computer.

so, what is not the same? have you ever been on mars? so how do you know? That's one of the most reduntant comments I've ever heard. Funnily enough, planets are different. There's no "template" in reality, if you're going to try that card. Rock comes together and forms a planet. Now in-game, not all planets are Earth like.

Bugs are bugs and as such, should be fixed. The game configured to crank up the maximum sensor range should not crash the game: all such crashes should be coded to be prevented. Please get a clue what you're talk about. This was NOT a bug, but a perfomance issue. Low end machines couldn't handle the increased sensor range, like I said. As such, t

And like was said, we're stuck with around $6. Not sure of the exact number, but most petrol stations in the uk have their pricing lists broken. They can't go into triple digits per litre.

Yes, it was up until 1.2. However, I *think* I remember Frogboy talking about initiative modules. I don't know if that's been scrapped after they realise what it did or not, but my guess is it probably has been.

I got the idea. It's extremely unlikely to happen, and I personally dislike it vehemently. This isn't the first (or second, third, possibly the eigth) time this has been thrown out.

No, it doesn't work at all. The warnings are automatic. What it means is the exact turn that you hit 4.0, the planet instantly becomes yours. No rolls, no chances. It's automatically yours. That's how it should work. It does nothing whatsoever to the chance of flipping. Oh, and 4x is the minimum possible required to flip. Something like 1% chance, I would imagine.

I *was* going to get it for MGS4, but realised frankly I really can't stand either sony or the PS3. I'd run straight back and buy one if they confirmed a remake of FF7, but sadly it seems like that was just a tech demo. So I'll be getting my first Ibanez instead.

Fix the mind control center? What do you mean? It's supposed to make all races under 4x your influence instantly flip to you, no chance, no questions asked. However, since this game draws most bonuses from the XML itself, and there is no given value for "flip", the 100% variable goes to the first thing it can find. Economy. The

i like the good building which gives i think 20% defence boost... its 20%. Also the "good" techs give a bonus to defence and hitpoints i think a total of 20% defence and 10% hitpoints if you research all 6 Mind control center = 100% boost to your economy, EMPIRE WIDE. Yes, that's a bug (or judging the xml it is anyway, it reall

Well of course evil is going to win if you evil, when has good or neutral lost when your good or neutral? Neutral is superior to evil. And you don't get the other races ganging up on you. If you don't interfere, good is simply better.

Since when did you become the spokesperson for stardock? Since when was it your bloody business? Because I've been here longer than you and read pretty much every post Frogboy has made on it. Bombardment won't happen. TC probably will, due to the way it's actually winning the polls. That means it's going to be profitable. Multiplayer mi

Thousands of times. No TC until GC3. No MP until either the second/third expansion, or more likely GC3 (since it's less popular than the trolls would have you think)

Evil only wins if you really don't know what you're doing. Weapons like the psionic beam are absolutely worthless when you already have far superior techs. Neutral and Good's bonuses actually work, since loyalty and morale are both damn useful. Although currently the mind control center is the best building in the game.

d not know that, but still I wonder why you would need to do that for your in orbit ships if you do not need to for the out of orbit ones. Think about it. While in space, your ships are in formation. Flying around in constant relay with each other. That's a lot more difficult when you have a HUMUNGOUS piece of rock in between every ship.

17 Replies 13,504 Views

It's WAI. Originally, ships fired in turns. Which meant the alpha strike was so overpowered as to be insane. Fast, hardhitting ships with 0 defence could rule the galaxy with ease. Now ships WILL fire in one turn, whether they die at the end of it or not. And no, it won't be changed.

Zerosea: Please post a debug.err file. No, you're not the first one with a blank BSOD, I think. If you have done nothing in 2 years, thats a problem. Games constantly evolve in their requirements, if you haven't updated your computer in 2 years don't be surprised when something goes wrong.

18 Replies 3,704 Views

Wait, that's it? That's the whole debug.err file? Ouch. Run smartexception, and get the log from that. That says what the code was doing that caused it to die. Also, you could try running a program like belarc advisor to show your complete computer specs, and you could see what piece of hardware might be giving you problems.

26 Replies 28,958 Views

Could you post a debug.err file? If it literally refuses to start, download smartexception, and use it to post the line of code it crashes on to here.
