You always get the latest full version of the game, since it's all the versions up to date. So 1.2 and nothing else, it's hardly confusing. Also: The epic generator dictates a story. There was an example of it a while ago in the journals section.

Just so you know, he does make the game. And he's said time and again that even with the views coming through, bombardment will simply not happen. They tried to get Terror Stars in for DA, and the AI didn't use it well enough. Guess what genius? This game is known for a good, non-cheating AI. 2 engines take up the space, because your ship is that powerful? That's your own problem. Deal with it, since you can't get gates.

No there isn't, end of story. There is NO WAY to mod in things like that. Also: it was the stargates themselves that were slower. Moving in a stargate, a ship moved at half of hyperdrive speed, 0.5 parsec/week. Try building more than one engine on a ship. That makes it faster.

You do know a trojan requires you to activate it? Then it's your fault if you went and downloaded an infected file and then activated it without any antivirus protection (and no, Norton DOES NOT count as protection). Understand: you weren't hacked, no-one is out to get you. You just cocked up.
I do a similar version to that, but end it on a military victory or influence victory. However, without a military beyond tough you'll have a hard time not being attacked.

Zonealarm doesn't affect the game. It's probably an issue with your old (new? nold?) drivers.
In half? How'd you figure? Because if you go for a tech victory, every race in the galaxy attacks you at once. And then you don't have a big military. Same for cultural.
Venuism: about 4-5 times what he wants to part with. $20 is a ridiculous amount. #2 is the most reasonable option you have.

You can do that. There's a way to get a sig.bin from a seperate computer (say, the library one where you get your patches) and use that on your main computer. After that, you can patch all you want. I'm not entirely sure on the details, so I'll go wok Kryo.
