I just had a thought. What does it matter if a spell is OP? There isn't any public leaderboard or public ranking system. So if someone "cheats", or uses an exploit, they are only cheating themselves. It's like cheating at Solitaire...
Not every one has a high dodge army or can cast the infection spell... That being said, I think it would be better to increase the manna cost or decrease the spell duration rather than nerfing the effect.

Took a close look at the 1.3 changelog last night. I noticed that effect of blind has been reduced from 50% down to to 25%. I disagree with this decison. If it was felt that blind was OP, then IMO, the manna cost should have been increased (e.g. Kurt's volcano), or the duration decreased. As it stands now, the the spell should be renamed the "nearsighted" spell.

Plus it generates good will, which can be very profitable in the long run. It was a very wise business decision. It would make a great case study in how short term losses could yield long term gains. Of course I am aware of the business rationale. That said, Brad doesn't have to oper
A suggestion: Could you release update 1.3 before the LH beta please? There should be some time for that update to be tested and commented upon, so that the results could also be merged into the LH beta... Otherwise, what is going to happen is update 1.3 will not get any attention from the player base, as everyone will focus on LH. It's all fine and good for those who are going to convert to LH anyways, but there a

I recently created a new soveign with life and air spells. Needless to say, he was very weak in the early game. making those spell types unattractive, at least at the lower levels. I remember back in the orignal AD&D, a magic user could choose from a pool of spells of any kind. Thus when a MU made it to the 5th level, he could chose his first 3rd level spell, which could be fireball, lightning bolt, or cone of cold (among many others) His choices weren't restricte

Cross-posting because I put this in the wrong forum initially... In my current game, I got a sovereign to surrender. When I looked at his equipment list, I saw that he had purchased 6 horses and 6 wargs. That seems a bit much. I don't think he had twelve heros to trade them to. 2. When I captured a city with an AI hero, the hero stayed in the city recovering for 5 turns, and then became part of my faction (It wasn't until many tu
