I had the problem that is described here , The missing files all came back after a second quick reboot of the system. as directed by Microsoft website. If this doesn't work they also said if you go to user folder and click on the user name the files would be there in the individual folders for that user.

Will the uploads on the account tab ever be fixed? I haven't been able to change the desktop image or Avatar there in Months it always says Upload error Code -200 Message 500

in chrome I had to go into setting and specifically list wincustomize.com as okay to run flash. I don't see any place to do that in edge though

when I had that problem in chrome it was due to having flash blocked

I do not know if this helps but, if you go to https://www.stardock.com/products/odnt/odrenew.asp and click get it now button it asks for email address or OD serial number. you may be able to just use their email address.
