They seems much busier lately, while at the same time it seems like much less is actually being said, if that makes any sense (it does to me).

What are you talking about? I think that you need to check your browser settings because there shouldn't be any symbols. Just kidding, those are medals earned by submitting Metaverse games.
Bwahaha! My class 72 still takes the cake!
The game version can be found in the bottom corner of he main screen, or by running Stardock Central. As for Canada, in my Foreign Policy class there is a Canadian student. We kid around with him a lot, his usual reply is either "we burned down the White House" or "don't make us burn down the White House again".
This isn't SG-1. The Stargates in GalCiv fold space between the two stargates. Think of them as pinching the space between them to decrease the actual distance.
Sounds like someone has read "A Wrinkle in Time".
Once you get it all patched up it might be worth your time to back the game up (using the Stardock central archive function). That way if you ever need to reinstall it you don't have to worry about the hassle of re-patching.
While my heart goes out to the people there and I hope that they can find both peace and freedom, I must admit that I have zero faith that the U.N. can or will do anything of lasting value for them. When was the last time that the U.N. has replaced an established regime with a stable government (much less self determining)?
Too late! We already have!
true but it also puts you in the dredges of society catagory sorry. If anything it puts them solidly in the refugee category. In any case, it doesn't change the fact that you said ridiculously inaccurate statements about groups of people while completely ignoring the wonderful thing that we like to call recorded history.
they also didn't have enough money to pay for the trip. That tends to happen when the government seizes your assets for failure to believe in what you consider a false religion.
Your history= fail. the puritans were the first Europeans to come here to stay. they were the dredge of English society. the non wimps that came were the explores. the wimps were the ones that came here to build towns and stay here. they were not going to go home. and i think that when we colonize mars it will be the same way more or less. Actually, the first Europeans to stay here to stay were soldier
we can do almost everything that star trek can. exception teleport(i have heard this has been done.) and ftl travel To add to the list of exceptions: Artificial gravity equipped space ships, hand held phasers, phasers in general, anti matter engines, androids, near perfect artificial hearts, VISORS, acrobatic space craft, orbital ship yards, terraforming, tractor beams (usable on any i
Currently the website as well as the previews are projecting a November 2007 release for Twilight of the Arnor, and while I am looking forward to it I don't see how that is really possible. It seems like, between the new tech trees and such, that this expansion is just as big or bigger then what DA was. With the target release date just a month away (having been announced just a couple weeks ago), no beta in sight, and DA 1.7 still in it's beta phase, it seems like unless Stardock is w
Then we could slingshot our ships around the sun, and send them back to the very beginning of the game! That way we could have an obscenely strong fleet at the get go, and save some humpback whales to boot!
Good article, but I found this funny: GameSpy: One of the most controversial additions to Dark Avatar was "Super abilities." How have they worked out in practice? Do players like them and will we get any new ones in the new expansion? I don't remember that ever being a controversy, and certainly not even close to the firestorm that arose over the issue of Mega Events (I hope by now those on the other side have learned how to turn them off or are
There seems to be an easy work around for this issue, and that would be to build an influence star base by the enemy. In one turn you could have a patch of your own territory on enemies front lawn, and by the time they get around to complaining about it the trap will be sprung. All it would take would be four or five more ships (and the tech of course) and it's right back where things started. I wouldn't mind the requirement to declare war, nor some form of delay (albeit a short one)
What is especially fun is when you trade them a large number of those techs, in exchange for ships (especially transports since they come fully loaded from their own population). Their economy tanks, and you now have a solid chunk of their preexisting fleet!
Hmmm, not really into the onlinr gaming thing, but maybe I'll det up an account, so we can nuke each other. No account is needed, just the auth key that came with the game. Check out the forums for the high end strategies. Ask around once you get there, I'm sure someone over there can point you my direction. <a href="http:
An invisible ship can attack the target ship without its shields, therefore doing direct damage to HP but only the first attack, any subsequent attacks will have the target's sheilds on. Because in order to attack you need to de-cloak but it's still a surprise attack. The idea is when your invisible, your enemies won't bother to raise their shields because there are no enemies around or thinking there are no enemies around. ? W
does anyone no what types of requirments are needed to play this game??(RAM, PROCESSOR, ETC...) or are they the same as dark avatars???? You need be running a Protologic 68000, preferably linked with the other 50,000 batch units. Kudos to those who get the reference without having to look it up!
Hey Homesar, what is your Defcon nick? I play the game pretty regularly, maybe I've seen ya around.
When ever there are multiple expansions for a game, the $20,000 question always is, are they all needed? For example, once Twilight is released, will a new player have to purchase DA in order to get all of the features in Twilight? If they do not have it, will they only have access to certain features? Or, will the only difference mean that they won't have access to the campaign missions for DA (which I don't think really makes $29.99 worth it to buy DA once Twilight is out)? <br/
From the Gamespot article: We are actually working on Galactic Civilizations II v2.0, which will be free and released shortly before Twilight of the Arnor. It will include improvements in diplomacy and espionage based on player feedback. There was a lot of discussion at Stardock about whether such features should be given away, but we felt that Dark Avatar players had already paid for enhancements in those areas and, hence, we should continue to ev
So their bringing the Arnor back? ::Spoilers!:: Well, the Arnor and the Dreadlords are the same species, and it has all but been said that humans are directly related to them (temporal paradox type of thing, humans evolve into them, cause problems, go back in time, wash rinse repeat). So, the Twilight of the Arnor could be describing what happens to the remainder of humanity who did not flee into
