I think that my first experiance with Wikipedia highlights my attitude towards it as a reliable source of information. I don't recall what I looked up, but I remeber the article (it was about some person) started "so in so is a whiney #$%&@, who *$^#..." and so on. It basically railed on the person using profanity, opinion, and flat out lies. Then when I realized that I could also change it all credability in it went out the window. (Yes, I know the argument that many people looking

Also from what I learned in history no one volunteered to be in a war they were forced. You can't tell me that most of the people who died in that war chose to be there. Quite frankly, what you learned was wrong. WHile I cannot give an exact number on what percentage of people that died were volunteers, there were many thousands who were. For example, our war for independence (the Revolutionary War as we call it) was entirely volunteer.

Your post is a little confusing, so correct me if I misunderstood you. First of all, you can't play the game online. There is no multiplayer. There is a metaverse that you can post your games on, which acts as a giant rankings boards. However, if you have cheats enabled your game will not be counted for points. Your version number can be found in the bottom corner of your main menu. If you want to know if you have the latest version then run Stardock Central (the program yo

You see folks, here in the States us Yankees have a bizarre thing that we call a joke. It is saying something that isn't necessarily true for a humorous effect. Though it may sound strange, it forms a vital piece of American culture, and I would encourage anyone unfamiliar with it to acquaint themselves at their earliest convenience.

Smokers (just becuase you have gotten yoruself addicted to pestacides doesn't mean you can litter where ever you like) People who drink, screw up thier lives while drunk, then bring thier problems to the office. Except France Nonsense, the French played a vital role by lulling the Germans into a false sense of security. Think about it, had the Nazi's actually had to fire thier weapons during the invasion of France, they might have become battle hardened ground troops. But since thier greatest fear was poor service at the outdoor cafe's, they were unprepared for hte fight that the Soviets and Americans would

ALWAYS attack the Drath first (if you are playing DA). I had one game where I left them alone, and in the space of five turns the managed to get about 13 races (major and minor) to declare war on me. Every game I play with them they are a nightmare (unless you ally with them).

Just colonize with a tiny amount of peole, then destroy the colony. I use this tactic to make "fire breaks" between myself and the dreadlords in the campaigns, works like gang busters.

Indeed, a big thank you to the Vet's, as well as to the families who have lost loved ones in the line of duty. You are not forgotten.

If they are closed why did I see a stardock rep on? the guy that was on was frogboy. I sent him a Pm and he rudely ignored it. Maybe he is taking personal time because he loves the game (that's what I'm doing). Maybe he ignored it because you've been acting like a spoiled four year old all day. Life is full of questions... Indeed. I remember he was in the

But why does everything have to be shut down? Also I looked it up it is supposed to be on the 30th of May and this is not the 30th. It's less disruptive to the economy to celebrate it today. Besides I have to pay more because I live in Canada and for some unfair reason my money is worth less than US money. It isn't our fault that the Canadian Dollar is devaluin

A terrorist group appears in the galaxy, and every X number of turns they destroy what ever is built on a random tile of a random planet that does not (or maybe that does) have a military ship in orbit.

Why do they have to close everything down just for that. I can't even get help with tech support and I don't even live in the Us and yet I am getting affected by it. You can't wait one day while we honor our dead, many of whom died not just for our sake, but for the benefit of Europe, Australia, Asia, and Africa?

Maybe, but we'll likely never know. I'm willing to up the ante though. I'll bet 10bc from Evil Stormbringer's account that I'm right. I'll see your 10 bc from Evil's account, and raise you Kryo's moderator powers.

I'd be willing to bet that any race that could cooperate enough to achieve intergalactic travel would respond to us in the same way we'd respond to a snake filled boiling stagnant salt water pirhanna pond when we have a cut on our finger. Most of us would just leave it be and walk around it. I personally feel that the requirment of extra terrestrials being much more socially advanced then us is quite

Aliens have not just contacted us, they walk amoung us every day. Living in Arizona I see them all the time. They do day labor, cook food, mow lawns, wash cars, build homes, and do other jobs natives won't. The truth is out there...

Probably the funniest thing that I saw was a certain individual complaining that Mega Events are to over powered and that they caused him to lose 3 of his last 5 games. The punchline? At the time of his post his Meta record was 5 wins, 97 losses. 'Nuff said. The hilarity may be found here: WWW Link

It was, quite simpley, the best AAR I have ever read (sorry Frogboy, his was much funnier!). The best part of it was that it was filled with moments of "oh no! what are you doing!?!", "I can't believe he pulled that off", and "He is so screwed". My brother and I would read the blog, then get together to discuss what he was doing right, what he was doing wrong, and what he needed to do to win. Since it was an ongoing game there was a great sense of "what's going to happen" that

I know exactly what you mean. That is why I never vote. There are never any good choices. They're all either bought or loons. It really would be nice if the party system hadn't taken over democracy. That way there would've been room for more than three main candidates, and maybe someone along the way would legislated runoff votes. If we didn't have political parties, then the only people with enough money to run for office (since it costs quite a lot of
