can't each one i reaserch follow me ? Cause someone will just research everything in the first level and then complain about the game being too easy. I guess that's why there should be a cap on research.. Oh, but just cause the ships in THIS part of the galaxy get the cool uber weapon doesn't mean the ships in

The player does have the option of leaving the United Planets, but only at the expense of losing all trade revenue. So.. that would probably be even worse than having your civilization be limited to 3 trade routes.

I can understand that you can't live on a ball of gas... but 'regular' planets should be terraformable into habitable planets... I mean.. it makes sense. Maybe those PQ 0 planets ARE balls of gas.

I don't think there's a bug. When the event came up I chose 3 techs, and because there were onlt two in the UP at the time the 3s had it Not so sure what you meant there. How many other civilizations were there and what resolution was passed? The thing is, it would be 3 tech from each

I think planets should always be defended by fleets. I agree that you should be able to at least defend your planet with fleet=logistic ability. Buildling orbital fleet manager would give it a boost or give it unlimited logistic points. Starport getting an upgrade would also be nice. Perha

There should be a simple option in GAME OPTIONS that the user can choose weekly or monthly turns. Grnated, it doesnt really change much but it would improve the enjoyment of the game for some users. And I say everyone should have the simple switch in their heads that automatically replaces one wor

Do the Dread Lords ever appear in the regular game, or is the only time you see them is in the campaign? Yeah, they do. Ive only seen them once though. i thought they only show up in the special scenario..

It's scific. Maybe they have accelerated growth technology. And population growth rate does not refer to birth rate. People from other planets can immigrate to the planet. And before anyone bring up CIV4, i'd like to say it's sad that it takes a warrior decades to move one grid.

To Agent of Zion: So.. how would the devs or AI deal with this situation. The majority of space has good defense tech against laser. You build a ship with nothing but laser and put it up for mercenary. The computer would most likely go for it due to the sheer power on paper it possesss. The ship will be ineffective but the player will still get big bucks out of it. I would think it's hard for the AI to adopt using mercenary..

SE4 tactical combat urinates all over GC2 :/ It's turn base strategy, not turn base tactics And it's really not a rock paper scissor system unless one weapon defeat the other weapon. If you use

But the problem with continuing the research on tech tree is that a lot of players might just research EVERYTHING on the first level and then complain about the game being too easy. I guess there are other ways to deal with it.. such as putting a limit to how much you can research in the first level to begin with. Another way might be to put a time restriction for each scenario. Then again, I think you are suppoesd to beat the sc

It's unrealistic for ships to become more sturdy (more hp) in real life, yes. The game implement the hp bonus as a reflection of level. It it meant to represent how the crews are able to better maneuver against incoming fire, better at aiming, etc. It boils down to the ship being to out-fight their enemies, so it's not really an issue. I think the system might be slightly broken since you would gain hp enough to compensate your loss for the

The topic has been discussed to death. search week on the forum https://forums.galciv2.com/?ForumID=162&AID=105318 Just.. use your imagination and think of the turn as whatever time unit you want.

keep in mind, there's nothing to slow you down in space (no friction) except for space dust which wouldnt be enough to make a difference. unlike what you see in almost all scifi, spaceships traveling at sublight speeds would not need to run their engines the whole time, just enough to get them to their top speed and to turn. Solar sail works be
