That is odd - I would have said that maybe the word was some anime character name or something, but it only turns up 70 results on Google, so it IS a pretty rare word. Still, I still suggest htat maybe just maybe, someone else thought it would be a cool name, too

1Up has a review up now. . . may want to link it, as you DID get a 9.0, Brad
also, make sure that you have your desktop in 32 bit color
I will let the interview speak for itself, but by God, Stardock should feel mighty pleased with this one!
I've met one family from Detroit. They're really cool people. Stardock is in Detroit. They're really cool people. Kid Rock's midget friend was from Detroit. He was really small people. On the whole, Detroit strikes me as nifty. The cold doesn't bug me, as I am currently freezing my toes off in Boston. The only problem? Coding is hard <img src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/

Could you make the game bake me cakes? Becuase that's about all it lacks.
Okay, Brad et. all, here is somthing that has REALLY been bugging me on this issue. I LOVE Gal Civ 2, hugely! It's all I've done since it came out! No, really! That said, you continuously say that you left out multiplayer to focus on the single player experience, and in a lot of ways, I think that's true - AI, ship designer, etc. But there is a key single player aspect that you totally ignored. The CAMPAIGN. I don't
I also selected all skins selection, but it DIDN'T archive everything, as far as I can tell (It tells me they need to be downloaded) Indeed, the archive file was over 1 gig when all was said and done. . . how could this NOT include everything? PLEASE STARDOCK HELP ME I even have internet on this PC, just no broadband, so I CANT re

If you edit the xml file, however, it won't count as a metaverse game. (Well, okay, if you edit the file, it won't show up in your metaverse games - they use protected data)
Yeah, but what about when there AREN'T 10 billion people sitting around to do the breeding. Imagine you spend a couple of turns buying farms to up growth rate on a new world, then sit back and watch it go. . . and you've suddenly got 2billion people pumping out 100 million kids a week. . . in other words, at any given time, 9/10ths of all women are pregnant (1/10 of all women at 9 mo's pregnant each month). . . assuming they don't have accel
I read a great solution the first day the game came out, but i have no idea who wrote it, but I will hare it Put 2-3 fighters capable of defeating the starbase (IE, enough weaps/def to break its own) directly next to it, and another 2-3 fighters nearby, but not NEARLY as close as the starbase is. Write down the ship/fleet numbers of all of these. Gift the ships close to
Stats: 512 megs of DDR 2700 RAM GF5600 Ultra w/ 256 megs of RAM AMD 2100+ (1.7ghz) By the end of my Normal Games (4 opponents, medium/small map, pretty high settings - I only turn down AA), my PC lags when entering battles, when explosions occur onscreen, and when playing movies. That said, just exiting the game tendsto make the problem go away. . . though exiting can take 3+ minutes <img src="http://images.stardock
1) NVidia GF5600Ultra - fw 81.98, winxp 2) no 2) no 4) standard cursor Mouse: Wacom Tablet :-/ I feel like the odd man out. Everyone else has logitech mice and 6000 series GFs. . . so why does it (rarely) freeze on my PC?
Should you upgrade it? Once all anamolies are done, yes, because a survey vessel's pretty useless. Buildinga cheap, faster scout will be better for regular exploration. To a fighter? May as well, it's the only real fighting class ya have that early Will XP transfer? Oh yes Penalty for losing it? I have had mine blown up p
Also very, very sexy
Okay, you, sir rock my socks right off.
But it wasn't a new feature
This is one of those moments that, were we on Slashdot.org, I'd just respond with "Switched to Linux."
An option to change rally points in the colony list screens (One, the ship/colony screen that appears on the left side of your screen, the other, the colony list that is in the graphs menu). Similarly, more detailed control of ships in the left-side ship/planet display menu would be nice - minibuttons for upgrade, fleet-create, move (really move, not just to here), destroy, etc. would be nice
The Pokemon thing made me laugh, out loud, for two solid minutes. My roommates think I am INSANE now, thanks a lot, SD!
Supposedly, they should auto-transfer once you get a few. Mine just kind've showed up.
Well, assuming that CAP = 20 * (PQ + X)^3 is correct, the value of X isn't constant, sadly. For PQ 4, it's roughly 1.127 For PQ 5, it's roughly 1.075 For PQ 6, it's roughly 1.047 etc. I wish I could go nab that formula. . . just cuz this is gonna drive me crazy. . . lol
Trick is, can you guys add resolutions that take the full width, and ALMOST all of the height, leaving just enough pixels at the bottom to display the task bar? I use this ti chat with my gf while playing. . . and 1280x960 ALMOST cuts it That said, yeah, any game tends to have this error unless they 'grab' the mouse back, but this can be annoying, if
