yeah u can arrange the AIs in a team. Youc an even team with AI, but they are abusive. They always yell at you like you don't know what you are doing
Sounds pretty cool...can you also confirm if the AI players will conduct diplomacy amongst themselves or can it only be done with human player?
its 10 player game, so 9 ai. In beta I could beat 4 AI teamed together alone. But Im sure they fixed it to make em harder
When you use the word 'teamed' does that imply when you setup the 9 AI players, you can make each one an individual team and/or group some of the AI players together? I would more be interested if at the start all 9 players were by themselves, but of course through diplomacy thru the game they could always team up later. I'm also assuming di

So with the NPC factions and pirates, are you also able to go to war and have diplomacy with them as well? If so, that is pretty cool and sounds like the options will be endless with those numbers. Maybe a stupid question, but in a single player game, what is the difference between an AI player versus NPC? Both are controlled by the CPU so what does one do versus the other? Thanks again for the info.

Thanks....that is what I was hoping to hear. Quick additional question. Is there anything that you can do in the multiplayer version that you can't do in the single player version, except the obvious stuff? Just trying to understand if there are any limitations or things that won't be available to me. You have me pretty close in pulling the trigger:)

I'm sooooo close in making the purchase, but I only plan to play in single player mode. I wish the day before release, we had a lot more detail on how it will work and how good it is in single player mode. For people who have played it, do you think it will be worth purchasing if you only plan to play single player?

I have to admit, I'm confused with all this stuff too. Two questions: 1) The digital Only download - Is that the collector's edition? I tried looking through all the threads, but just made me more confused:( 2) Does the downloadable version of the collector's edition have an expiration date as to when you can order it? Or can you purchase the downloadable collector's version forever? Thanks, looking forward to this one.

I'm an owner of GalCiv II and want to purchase the expansion. However, before doign that I want to have a clean start since it has been a long time since I played and not sure what kind of shape I left my install in with all the mods and such. Can I completely uninstall the game and then reinstall? Do I need anything special to do that? Will I loose my license or anything? Also, if I remember correctly, I got the version where it had all the extra mods for ships, how would I keep that or re

When I first got the game, I toyed around with the New game settings (i.e. setting galxy size, number of habitable planets, etc.). Now everytime I start a new game, the last options I choose remain. Is there anyway to go back to original game defaults?

Anytime I create my own new ship, it always places a number after the name of the ship. Why is that? Does it mean something? Kind of annoying seeing my ship represented by its name + some number. For example, if I create something called Warbird the name turns out to be Warbird21. Just curious...
