http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1637037674/lords-of-discord New kickstarter project that looks like the child of Heroes of Might and Magic and Kings Bounty. For some reason the russians loves these kind of games (at least to make em), and this project needs to happen. I grew up on Heroes of Might and Magic, but the last two versions are Triple A crap. Please help make this happen. </p

I played this a lot myself. I was put of by reviews and bought it on sale later. Turned out its quite a blast for me. Trying to keep your first units alive all through the game. There are some mighty funny heroes out there as well (I love the rabbit). Well worth it!

I am playing the beta and its great. Lots of small improvements. I would have loved this game to have a turn on kickstarter and pushing all the money into graphics, but this is still one of the best games out there. The strategic options are endless. I have played Dom4 for a month now, and I am still playing and getting into my first nation (Jotunheim).

I am beta testing Battle World Kronos, and its looking REALLY good. Its basically Battle Isle redone and reinvented. Of over 20 games I have supported on Kickstarter, this looks the favourite to be my number one. http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/kingartgames/battle-worlds-kronos-turn-based-strategy-revisited

You will have to install steam client and logon to it. There you will have your library with all your games. Any games you want to play must be downloaded through the Steam client as usual. If a game has saves in cloud, the saves will be available.

I usually like to play the first part of the game and dont do much endgame play. I have a game now on a large map where I have played for quite a while and performance is very bad. The game also hangs about every 20-30 minutes. Hope that the performance and crash fixes are for real :)

The weakness of the show is that there is so much to tell and so few episodes. Its more like an ad for the books. Its one of the few times its and advantage to actually have read the books first cause your mind will fill in what TV has to skip.

I took the jump and started with Dom 3 a few months back. Didnt play before because of the learning curve (and graphics). Must say that Dom 3 is VERY cool and Dom 4 beta is even better. The UI is improved, and in most game that isnt all that important. Here is really matters cause of the game complexity. Autobuy of units is a super WIN. I love Dom 4 and advise all strategists to try!

I think you got it :) I found some new unimpressive armour in the shop as well. Anyways, I loaded an autosave but then the city attack never came. I can see by the city defender icons in the city screen that there are three new defenders, but I dont know their stats. Now if only I could get the shadow world spell (I am the race that can buy quests) :)

I completed a quest that game me the possibility to build the Temple of Secrets. The description says that its quiet, but if the city is attacked it will have forces that will help. This means extra city defenders I suppose. It also says that they will act as mercenaries for those who can afford it or something like that. I cannot recruit any new units in this city. Will I get a popup with offers or something???

Yes, the amount of excess food a city has influences growth. Hover you mouse pointer over the growth number and get a popup that tell the details. So this will make your city grow very fast for a while. If you want the growth to continue in high speed mode then research and build more food buildings as the game goes along. It can also be a source of multiple pioneers :)

We have a few threads on this already. I am playing Dom 3 these days, and have preordered Dom 4 already. Just wish they did a kickstarter and used some money on graphics and UI design :)

Thanks for the feedback. I love 4x games and have tried EU 2 a while back. This series doesnt quite catch me for some reason. I kinda doubt this is on MOO III level. That game is my biggest gaming disappointment ever, EU IV cannot be even close even if they tried. EU IV will get tons of patches as usual for the series, and it will probably turn out to be an evolution of the last iteration that will please the hardcore fans :)

@Ellestar 1. 21 Euro is way less than than EU4 and TW:Rome II (I am in Norway) 2. The interface is improved quite a bit ( watch the vids on youtube) 3. Endgame performance is greatly improved they say. If you think about removing mircomanagement then thats another story :)
