Its really not that bad - Hearthstone is quite a bit better than say MtG.
How so? If I need a single card for MtG, I can buy that card. If I need a single card in Hearthstone, I have to buy packs and hope for the best, or grind. Unless you were talking about the online presentation of the game, in which case MTGO sucks compared to Hearthstone's polish.

The logical side of me sees a the OP as disingenuous and manipulative. Vot

I use GOG for one reason: access to games that I could not easily and legally get elsewhere. I could give a rat's ass about DRM, and if a game is on Steam for the same price, Valve gets my money for delivering the same product with fewer hassles. As long as GOG remains hostage to the very vocal customers who are all about DRM-free, they will not grow. Services like gamersgate and greenmangaming survive because they sell Steam keys. GOG should too if th

I guess I can thank you for saving me some money. Personally, I feel like you're missing the boat with both designs.
so many people are just dismissing AI as some impossibly hard problem the AI in 4X games is terrible because developers are a combination of lazy, poor, and incompetent
This was poorly put, as others have pointed out, but I think it really does get to the heart of the problem. Let's reword it to be less harsh: The AI in 4x games is terrible because developers do not have enough time, a
The next DLC: Spouses For those of you reading this, the next DLC is going to allow players to have spouses. Kael has meticulously designed a spouse for each player (and to be honest, they’re way cooler than the sovereigns because Kael got to really go crazy with these).
Wow - that sounds cool! Can't wait for these spouses to join their respective leader in-game! Oh wait.... This refers to the Leader DLC?&nbs

I even mocked up an illustration...
That would have been brilliant. EL really got this right. You can plan attacks on the strategic map and know the ground you are getting when you go to tactical combat. Sure there's some tweaking ne

The music from the other AOW games has always stayed with me, and really defines what I expect from music in a fantasy game. AOW3 remains true to that.

All of the Age of Wonders series games are still my favorite fantasy strategy games; nothing else has come close. This new installment looks (and sounds from early previews and reviews) to be a worthy continuation of the series. AoW perfectly mixes tropes with original material to create a truly immersive, beautiful looking fantasy world. Everything about the series has always been top notch (no pun intended there) - the music, the art, the gameplay... Really look

I know, I know, sacrilege.
That's not sacrilege - that's honesty. The game is better than Civ 4 at this point, but most people have a blind
