Keep in mind, if you backdoor someone, you cut yourself off from minions to get experience from. So I don't see it as such a big deal early game. Taking over portals late game is of course very useful.
I'll start by saying that I really have enjoyed playing this game so far. However, there were a couple things that got on my nerves: 1. There are no auto-pilot lines plotted in the main view window, though I think they're in the minimap but too hard to see. I am constantly asking myself, "where the hell is my ship going?
