Pretty sure there is a UP proposition that gives transports weapons to defend themselves when passed. I'd imagine thats why your transport has the firepower.

I find that you get some time to focus on your military before the AI even tries to proceed in researching the colonization techs. Just gotta time it right so that you get it before them. As for my games, I don't really care much about the planets until I go to war. Then I look at the uninhabitable planets my enemy has, and if worth pursuing, I might research or trade for the techs.

[quote] And maybe to go one step further, have you ever wondered how a game would unfold after you lost, who would win? Maybe there could be an option to let the computer simulate the game until some AI wins. It would also come handy in situations where you already know you've won but don't feel like spending the next couple of hours cleaning things up. [quote] All techs should be able to be traded or stole, however, those that are deamed too one sided should have limited capabilities, like for instance if Building (A) gave the Torians 30% morale boost than maybe for the Terrans it would only give a 10% morale boost, (or maybe effect certain races differently such as 10% morale bonus +5% tourist bonus')Then maybe the Dregin 2% morale bonus and so on. On the same note then the Dregin Building (B) would boost Dregin great but

These research laboratories are already set in the game as economic star bases. Plus, I don't want to micromanage all these ships with labs on them. I would be for the idea of the asteroid belts giving an option of production or research, which I believe this is what they intended, but changed it to only production.

I disagree with AOE3 being close to evolutionary. The home city is alright, but for me it did not make the game any more fun, or either any of the implemented improvements in the game. Games such as Dawn of War and Company of Heroes I would have to say would could be considered an evolutionary step to RTS, because they absolutely bring in a new dimension of the game with squad combat, the need to play the WHOLE map instead of certain parts, and cover.

It would be nice if they switched this to the Dreadlord event and changed the old dread lord event to the making of a hostile Pirate planet or something.

I e-mailed the ship files with the shipcfg, didn't see this before hand though. I cannot reproduce the same jewelry causing the slowdown, but it seems kind of random sorts of jewelry will cause this problem in a game, its different every time i restart. wierd, this may be just my problem?

I sent an e-mail but here is the file containing three ship jewelry that cause massive slowdown jsut by themselves on the ship design screen, while I also inserted a ship design with multiple jewelry on it that causes absolutley no slowdown. Hope this helps! http://files.to/get/420891/43052/GalCiv2_Lag_Ship_Designs.zip If you need more examples of ship jewelry that causes this, I can easily go through all the ship parts, all I have to do is practically select the piece and wat

"I have a custom race with the Altarian Resistance ship style and mostly stock ships from that style. Most of what I've customized is "tactical" stuff, not jewelry." You may not have jewelry on your ships, but the AI ships do consist of jewelry that may cause thsi slowdown. i dunno!

I also get slow down with the beta on this rig. Meduim Galaxies. Nine players I still think the slowdown is caused by some of the ship jewelry, because my computer frap rates crash when i try to apply specific ones on my ships, so i figure if any of the comps are using jewelry that create that to happen on just a single ship, multiple ships could be the reason for the massive slowdown. The slowdowns only occur after attack ships are begining to be produced. Who knows <img src="htt

I think you might want to check on some of the spaceship jewelry, some seem to produce lag when just 1 is applied where as other more complex looking jewels i can put an abundant about of the jewels and recieve no lag. This may be part of the problem, or just my unique problem.

Krynn get a massive moral bonus, so when they tax people they can tax them to death while they are still semi happy, there is one source of income in that.
