The are pirates, maybe they have some truly secret base that nobody is aware of, they just use the "pirate base" that we all know of as a gateway ;)

Played Everquest for two years. Thank god that was in high school, cause I would have dropped out of college if I started playing it in college. I was ADDICTED. So I won't play these games anymore. Now I play games such as GalCiv2 which I can just stop and do more important stuff and come back at another time. When you pay to play something monthly, your mindset kicks in saying that you should at least make it worth your money.

I loved Starcraft personally. I've played most big time RTS games, such as Company of Heroes to Warlords Battlecry. I get a kick of listening in on this forum because every here is a TB maniac :) Put some better graphics on it and BAM! its better then 85% of RTS's out there. If it had pretty graphics most of your would be saying how great it is compared to how old it is. Its the gameplay itself that makes the game. Graphics is just a plus.

Like pndrev said, you cannot compare these games. There is just too many differences. Not to be rude, but I am failing to understand why you want a comparison for two games you have never played.
look here boy ... read my post : i gave him a very detailed answer ... my last paragraph was to give him a hint that he did not have to compose his posts with such big letters ...BE NICE YOURSELF AND STOP PATROLLING & MORALIZING
Do letters hurt your eyes? I'd step away from the computer then. Even if they are in CAPS, is it loud? Then turn down the volume on the computer then, doubt it would help. The reason for this is letters do not make sounds at all. Get out of th
This means that if you find something the first time, the second upgrade will be statistically less effective.
If the code describes a lower probability of getting a second bonus than when you get a first, then this is true. If getting the two bonuses are independent of each other, then given you already have the first bonus, its not going to statistically be less likely to get the second bonus. It is statistically less likely to find two bonuses rather

Not all of us have the time for multiplayer. I would love to give the AI an advantage because I can rule any 1v1v1v1 with 3 hard AI's with relative ease now.

I believe, if memory serves me correctly, some of these planets to indeed have "rings" around them. I'm 95% positive i've seen this in game.

Yeah, instead of just auto spawning the pirates, just have all of the pirates at the pirate base, all 100 of them or so, attack the human. Problem fixed :)

In a single player game, I'm in awe how you guys are having so much trouble with these siege ships. It does not cost much to place 20 turrets around your planet and upgrade the the planet health. Get your economy going before you start taking these planets so you can upgrade once you take them. I play hard AI, and the only way they EVER take a planet of mine is by combining arms and attacking together with a massive fleet.

There is a max allegiance based on how far away your worlds are from your home world. I'm almost positive that culture will raise the allegiance of a planet no more then 10%. Thats if I'm remembering correctly.

Expand is a great strategy on one condition. You MUST be able to build up the infrastructure. You expand to fast your economy will be drained like no other. The farther you are from your homework the less taxes your going to collect. I often by mid-late game will change my home world to a farther out planet to negate these effects.

Here is a great reason to why you want to have the pirates attack you! As of right now I've only been playing with 3 normal random AIs so take that into account as well. 1. Find a juicy planet next to a pirate base. 2. Well... colonize it. 3. Upgrade all the planet health as well as tactical spots. 4. Build a couple health restore buildings and then max the rest with defensive guns. Make sure you are placing them at the phase lane entrance. 5. Build a trade port. 6

As of right now, every post is clustered together with no logic to them. Can we get some different sections for the bug reports, strategies, multiplayer, and idea's in some type of sub-forums?

Remember who is publishing this game. Disappointments are to be expected. I expect the full game to come out for another $50 a year after the release date of this half :) I hope I'm wrong.

Used a lot of unneeded words Uranium. Your comments would be more pleasing, as well as appropriate if you just got rid of the "the #$%@" in your sentences. They will also still make sense! Go figure...
