Tactical combat would be the single most important addition you could make to this series. MoO2 style tactical combat plus the strategic depth of GalCiv2 would make this the best 4X game in 17 years. Especially if you also make the tech-tree less generic.
I make a statement with my money. I could have pirated Sins. I didn't because I support the creators. I want more of Sins so I am giving my money as a means of showing this and supporting this.
++
Consider this situation: You have a minor (or weak major) near you, which you trade with and dont want bullied by the Drengin. You are not sufficiently advanced in diplomacy, or dont have a good enough relationship, to make an alliance to them, but still want to make sure no one can conquer them. So then you go into the diplomacy screen, and annouce to them that you guarantee their independence. This should have two effects: 1) If someone declares war (DoW) on them, you should be presented
So there is actually no benefit to spreading your trade routes out? (The benefits of not spreading them out, being of course easier starbase coverage and protection.)
Are there any penalties for making multiple identical trade routes, or could you just as well have 10 trade routes betheen your capital and your friendly neighbours capital? And does anyone know what determines the average value of a trade route?
This sounds excellent. I really hope you implement the 'Other Economic options' stuff.
Frogboy:I'm open to suggestions on this stuff. I could be talked into all kinds of things including diverting social spending military spending automatically (for example). The great problem with the current system, is that it forces the player to do micro management, to avoid a lot of waste. So,
What about the 'disappearing software mouse cursor' issue. Wasnt it supposed to be resolved with 1X?

Not having ships on sentry awoken by neutral/allied ships passing by. Having the spacebar/'no orders this turn' command for ships work as in Civ4: Rather than having its movement points reduced to zero, it simply gets taken out of the next unit cycle for the remainder of the turn, and the next turn button will glow, even though that unit still has movement points left. That way it is possible to change your mind, and give it an order that tur
Yep - me too. Also, the end turn button sometimes glown when there are more ships left to move. Might be related.
Well, perhaps I am just more careful with my manual
I have a question: Why buy a digital DL, when you can get a boxed version with a printed manual in a local shop, at the same price or less than the digital DL? If developers made digital DL significantly cheaper than the shop price, naturally more people (such as myself) would buy it directly. Obviously there is plenty of room to lower the price, while still getting more money pr. digital sale than pr. shop sale. It seems that all the developers are making their titles cost the sa
It has been fixed now. See http://forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/showthread.php?p=5092787
Has anyone downloaded it without the stardock central installed? You cant even DL it with Stardock Central installed, because it refuses the CE serial. BTW: Cant you guys at Stardock just make the patch accessible at the CE download page? I we have the CE serial, it must mean that we have bought the game as well

Supposedly the problem will be solved "within the next few days". Link: Link Good to know I am not the only one with this problem! The game

No patch. What am I doing wrong?
