Okay, I feel like a fool. I research long range jumps, but my ships still won't travel to distant stars (playing as either TEC or Vasari). For example, in Systems of War, I try to travel to Sheliak (love the name) -- highlight my ships, right click on the star Sheliak, and my ships just sit there. What simple thing have I missed? Thanks in advance!

Mine was a pre-1.50x saved game. Stardock is very good about conveying information to consumers, and I think it would tell us if pre-1.50x saves aren't compatible with 1.50x.
After upgrading to DA 1.5x, my saved gaame crashes. Debug err file follows. Seem to be able to start new games without a crash. Any thoughts/help much appreciated. Thanks! Great idea, to force us to deal with the totally unexpected. How about an event opening up an alternative universe to explore, but with additional risks introduced as well?
Very intersting interview, both for what happened in 2003 and the road to 2006 (and beyond). Thanks, Brad, for giving it and sharing it with us.
I, for one, don't feel let down by Stardock at all. They seem to have been working their butts off since the product's launch to keep to GalCiv2 community informed, to deal with inevitable bugs, and to update the game. Look at what haapens with other games out there -- a big launch and then no or minimal support. Stardock gave a lot of support and updates to GalCiv, and I trust them to do the same for GalCiv2
