Now all I need to figure out is what to do with that 2000bc to accelerate in a more efficient manner. You could try to get cheap constructors to get those nice resources....or try to mine out asteroids.

I think Irfanview will do the trick. Just open the file and click "save as" and you'll see where it says the "save as type". (It's just under where you put type the name) Just click the panel right of the "save as type" and it will give you a list of file types you can save the image as. Trust me, it works.
Yes. Once past 25B there is no further penalty but even so the max pop that any planet can achieve by growth is 100B for PQ17 and above. I suppose you could possibly bus pop in to get any arbitrary amount, but even growing to 100B took forever. Ah yes population growth slows right down. Yes you would need to ferry in the population, in doing so you would then be limited by planet quality and how many farm/morale bonuses you have.
Yor The Yor won't have entertainment based technologies at all or any sort of farming technologies. Instead, the Yor will have energy production centers that increase the # of Yor units on a given world which can then be divided between production areas and research areas. So how will morale resources work? Will the mining starbases be useless? And what about the morale tile bonuses? I just think the Yor should be able to use tiles and not be left
Oh, now with this new tech tree, maybe a race like the Bentusi could be put in. (Homeworld fans know what these guys are) The Bentusis were a race taht sold you special techs that you couldn't get. So I wonder if you have a nomadic race taht would show up in an event every so often that are willing to sell you unique technology.
Sounds to me like the Drath are being a bunch of little *ouch*ags. They are using the Super Manipulator on you, you need to attack them first before they have a chance to react.
It would be fun to be able to mine something from class 0 planets, but this would also be fun: You can mine precious -something- from your class 23 planet, but then it's quality drops by 5 because of mining, or max population is halved from radiation, or morale drops by 25% because of something... I just made this up, it requires some refinement... what do you think? That would help make class 0 planets useful. With the second
If the Terrans began to tear down all of the evil Drengin buildings and replaced them with their own stuff, I can't imagine the populace accepting that. What populace? Whenever you invade you slughter the entire planet(however improbable that is)....so I guess stardock has that figured out.
You bumped a post from the same DAY!?! On a SUNDAY!?! C'mon, whadda ya think, they LIVE in the office? drrider Well actually....
Physical Memory: 512MB RAM Page File: 281MB used, 965MB available Well, I don't know if it is related to your bug, but isn't your memory a bit low? I forgot to set the virtual memory up at the time, but I have set it up higher. My computer actuall has 1000 RAM, but it only readss 512....odd. I had a friend custom make it so I'll ask him about that.
*bump*
Hmm. Whenever I try to place anything, it always gives me an error. I don't know if I installed it right. Should I post a debbug here or not?
Okay, so we just download it and install it. Thats all? No text editing?
half shameless promotion I too have something like this to submit. These are two threads of mine that I think would yield dramatic changes in Galciv2: New idea for farming AND BIG Idea For Planets (Not something everybody agrees with becaus
oh wait, nevermind. The games show up on stardock central. Awesome feature I must say!
I just got a better computer and I've bought Galciv2, but I want to know if stardock has the code numbers to play the game. I bought it, no doubt about it, but I wanted to know if I could go to stardock.com and find the codes to play the game, or if I would have to dig out the old DA and DL CD's out of my closet. (Which I fear I will have to do.)
hmmm.....I think THIS song is the perfect Drengin theme song! Bring on the pain stardock!
for what it's worth, i'm hoping it'll be possible to create an entirely new tech tree from scratch (in modding), and that there won't be a limit on how many one could create. Well thats a real kicker, I tought you'd just be able to make a tree for your race in game.
Well since you have the immense galaxy, it wouldn't be a bad idea to have more races. Also, has the epic generator been abandoned or is it still in progress? Probably scrapped.
The manual is probablly outdated considering all of the paatches that have been put into the game.
is it possible for you guys to create a primitive "hive" tech tree? Kind of like to torians, but kind of like thalans. (Like the Zerg from Starcraft) Or are the tech trees user friendly and we can make our own? Second suggestion: Add the option to make a race not be able to have diplomacy. I know the dreadlords have this feature, I would like it to be expanded to custom races.
Perhaps spies could be used to permanently damage buildings and then leave. Honestly if you were a spy sabotaging a building, why would you stay there? Just make the place blow up and make the civ painstakingly repair it. Actually with drengin slave pits coming up, maybe you could have an underground railroad where you funnel the freed slaves to your planets. They could even have different buildings have unique espionage options available. PS: Why do spies cost more than the l
So....Twilight of the Arnor doesn't even have the Arnor as a race? For shame stardock, I would just put them in there to keep face.
EX cellent! It would be awesome if slave pits would get a bonus of conquered planets. Or you could have slave trade routes with other evil empires! Instead of increasing revenue, they would increase production...and alittle money of course for the Korx. I just wish you could somehow dictate how many people are shoved into those sweat shops!....err I mean slave pits! (Heck whats the difference?) Another good idea, have a evil morale booster that would be like a gladiator tra
