How about the fact that the Yor, who are supposedly tireless robots, are in fact NOT the most industrious when compared to the Thalans. I mean, seriously, robots or insects?? I would think robots would build factories faster
To me robots seem to be the ultimate form of life, physically atlest. They don't breathe air, they can take alot of h
"Here Mr. Wants to Enslave and Boil Me in Water and Eat My Skin, take this free hyperdrive so that you may have everlasting prosperity! Besides, you have a trusting name, so here it is for free!" hehehe, well we didn't have a universal translator, so no one could tell us they were bad! Not that two advanced races cooperating couldn't manage to learn to communicate just using their own wits before the good ol boys at the lab coud perfect th
The pre hyper drive storyline tells of Drengin conquests and other severe interactions between races that are beyond the perview of stargates,,,,....,,,, 'pre hyper drive', yes i say again, pre hyper drive interactions???
That one beats me, how did the Drengin meet us? And why the bloody hell did we give them hyperdrive? "Here Mr. Wants to Enslave and Boil Me in Water and Eat My Skin, take this free hyperdrive so that you may have everlasting prosperity! Besides
INSTANT COLONIES: Just add water!
Chia colonies! .....I wonder if a chia race would be feasable...hmmm.....
I would pay good money for an invasion to work like that.
Let's hope Stardock is listening then ....
Of course you and me would die fighting wearing our gas masks, but first we'd have to buy the masks for twice the regular price, because of high demand.
Touché...
ok, I hit take sreenshot and it took a screenshot but I can't figure out where it was saved, or if it was. Any one know what I might be doing wrong?
Well if you pasted it in paint just do "save as" and put in "my documents" or wherever you else to stick it.
Forgetting about balance and making the game multiplayer instead seems an odd approach. GalCiv2 was designed to be a single player game. Might as well request that we change GalCiv2 into a first-person shooter while we're at it.
A turn based real-time,4x shooter? Make it and I'll buy it!
I don't know if they improved the good perks, but if they haven't, they need to. PS: Better performance for good civs? A dirty underhanded way to get people to play as a good guy!
I mean if Earth was being invaded, people would be doing all they can to win back their planet. People wouldn't care about money... Wearing your rose-coloured glasses again aren't you?
thanks alot. there are a total of 10 races. human, dwarf, night elf, gnome, draenei, undead, tauren, trool, orc, and blood elf. if tou need any pictures, let me know and i'll see what i can find.
Don't forget blood orks and naga!
on the subject of that, how do you make screenshots???
There is a key that says "Print screen". Ony my keyboard it is inbetween inser and pause break. The screen can then be pasted into "paint" or any image viewer.
militias would
Perhaps you could have a tech line where militias could be used. For example: A X% of the population is converted to soldiers upon enemy invasion. YOu could go down the line to get a higher militia percentage.
The companies you can buy buildings/ships from. I mean, if they have enough production to build a ship overnight when it would take me weeks, why haven't they already taken over the galaxy? Cause they need your money..and the thing is that they aren't probably the sole factor doing the construction. Imagine the buy option as a fact your temporarily hiring more workers for your ship project so it completes faster..much faster...ludicrously fast...<br
Ahhhh! The realism vs fun controversy. I just wonder what this game would be like if they had everything on real terms....it wouldn't be that bad I suppose.
Why does the player always have to be human? Why not Drengin or Korath?
I can think of many real world examples over the last century where two nations have been allies. For example through NATO or the EU. Yet one has been at war with a 3rd country while the other has maintained trade relations.
Uhhhh....World War One and Two. But back onto the AI and alliances. That just doesn't seem fair that the AI delays an attack when they have an alliance. When the player's AI ally attacks they have to honor their allaince or back out of it. W
Notice how our usually thin Thalan offshoot friend has gained a few pounds. I'm not sure about you, but this hurts my eyes. Are you calling me fat?? Is that it? I'm not fat, I just have a big exoskeleton. So there. Aeneas V
Do insects even have fat like we humans do?....or even the Drengins?
I remember an old bug where I upgrades a ship to the same ship as before(I shose to upgrade it in the ship creator) and it cost me like infinity-billion dollars.
I wan’t to attack the Torians but I am trying to keep ships for a final big war with the Drengin! I don’t know what to do?? Get the Drengins to attack the Torians(or vice versa). Then while the Torians are busy with the Drengin, rush in and take as many of the Torian planets that you can. Then finish both of them off.....and then turn on the Altarians! PS: Is there a free for all mode? I want everyone against everyone from the start. No peace. N
I will admit the beginning of the game is boring.
What kind of info do you guys have about the scenarion editor? This is probably the second best thing I like about this game (Individual tech trees first). For such a much needed feature, there's little info about it.
I dunno about you, Shadow, but I'll trade with the Drengin even if I'm good. They're my enemy, but it's my trade route. So, how do these mines determine who's friend and who's foe here? Who you are at war at I suppose.
Wouldn't this qualify as one of those exploits that has been since the original game? You should have the option of keeping your old capital building or choosing the one you conquered. Or if you conquer an enemy planet with a capital, it should be a lesser capital with less benefits.
