It's odd though, my computer is suppose to fit the reccomended stats. I guess stardock doesn't want to intimidate poeple with:" 1 gig of Ram required" on the bottom of the box.

In early versions of DL, the REALLY early versions, minors used to be more useful. I had the snathi one time and they were a quite powerful trading civilization. They even had some military muscle to throw in.
huh, and I'm running on 512... It just makes you think, all this stuff used to be cutting edge. WHat kind of ram would you suggest?
Probably right, I should get my computer teacher to look at it. Any file somewhere that tells you everything your computer has? Something like a text document?
Drats, I think it's three that add up. My computer is a microsoft XP Home edition. To be honest, I have sort of a "Frenkenputer" it's made up of several different parts form different computers. Please be patient with me. I'm pretty blunt when it comes to the the technical aspects of a computer.
Al right I doon't know if this answers it, but I'll try anyway: AMD Athlon 64 Processor 2800+ 1.80 GHz, 512mb or RAM Physical Address Extension On ram, I think all of the sticks add up to get 512.
Where is the mb manual you speak of? I forgot what my motherboard was called. I assume I can find that in the control panel, but I don't know where.
Alright, give me some suggestions for a good ram stick and a graphics card...and I'll consider it. It just baffles me that DL runs better than DA. *sigh*
Okay, here goes nothing... Okay, THAT was not fun. About 15 minutes of my life gone. Nothing changed, thanks any way Moosetek13. I think I'll stick to other games until DA is improved or I upgrade my computer.
Thanks, I couldn't find updates on the soundblaster homepage.
I thought I did. Maximum size for virtual memory is: 20000mb. It must not be in this debug. I just recently updated my video drivers. I guess I could do the same for audio, but I doubt that will change how the performance runs. I couldn't find any updates for the Sound Blaster Live!.
I am pretty disappointed as well. DL ran great, no real issues. DA, jerking, skipping, jumping, click, click, clicking in the background. I love all the new features but Stardock raced this one out to get the cash flow in. Oh well. It is odd that stardock would rush DA. Now I remember why they had DA come out a couple of days early.
Yea, Irfanview is the a very simple and efficient program to use when converting pictures.
That's just plain creepy. I'm just afraid of a planet of the apes scenario, the slaves revlot and become the masters. The former masters are now the slaves.
Let me just start by saying: My computer is average. I meets the recommended areas for Galciv2. It has doesn't have a gig of ram(yet), it has 512. In Galciv2 I like to play in gigantic galaxies. It offeers more room for tactics and strategies. I like to play wth nine races with a high difficulty and lots of planets and stars. DL ran fine with these options selected. DA however, sucks with my computer. I can't even run three opponents on a large galaxy without it crashing. I even put DA in window
Maybe the Drengins wanted more super dominator corvettes.
Is there a distinction in the AI personalities in race creation? I read that the Drengin and Korath value speed more now, does that apply to the custom race if you pick Drengin AI?
Page File: 496MB used, 922MB available The swap file should be increased to at least 2GB as well. Done and done. Thanks
Let's talk about welfare... well, on second thought, let's not. Me says yes! Why should my taxes go to a family of lazy, ignorant people who don't want to get a job? HUH? I think welfare should have a short term way to keep a family a float. If a man just lost his job and ha
Didn't you go to Forum Be-Nice College? I like that one. I myself got my doctorate from Forum Flaming Farms, an independent little school usually advertised on the condom machines in the smaller, privately owned hole in the wall bars. They only offer correspondence classes for the moment but I hear once they get some funds coming in they may actually branch out and offer some live classes at local community colleges all acro
man i love morons who call out bug when its there own fault. Listen you, I had it with you and your flaming. So quit your lousy trolling and take it elsewhere. Besides what would YOU call the title if you got this error?
Please don't repost the same thing in a new thread, when you just posted the same thing yesterday. I'm pretty sure kryo and many other people will see this If you're thinking I'm a dev, I'm not. I'm just the moderator. Sorry kryo, since you didn't even respond, I thought it was a forum bug...but what do you think about it kryo? + or -
I have seen pink stars, but no purple ones...
The spore ships in DA are a nice thing I like to use, but it could be more challenging. For example, you could have a basic spore tech with a 10% chance of success, you could keep researching and improve their terrible chances of invasion. They also shouldn't be able to invade enviroment worlds without the proper techs IMO. Think about it, In a world of radiation, those spores would be killed instantly. They would just not work on these planets unless you made superspores, which just s
