No, starbases do not culture flip. They don't? Why don't they? They use to be able to flip planets,so why the change?

I think the economics factor in Galciv2 is kind of shallow. I mean, there should be Infrastructure expenses, unemployment, military population, imigrants and a few other things that I can't remember. Things such as planetary invasion should be fixed. Slaughtering everyone on a planet is a stupid tactic. Thats where the military pop. comes in. Well, I don't want to trail off. You should be able to keep the old pop without needless slaughtering. Well, is is the link to the combat
Good could really use something though. Right now good is a real handicap. Shouldn't your people be happier and more willing to work for the benefit of your society? I would hate to think that evil people find the same satisfaction out of their behavior as the good (although reality may differ with that viewpoint). I have wondered about this as
I haven't tried this, but do the governors work in DA or DL?
There really is no need for that event! You get a cheap fighter with Laser I and bow up the transport!
What are you talking about? Cheese-callers? Sounds like spam to me.
It would be complicated, but it would be cool if a ship had vital points. Say, hitting it in the engines compared to hitting a well armored point. Put simply, a ship would have weak points.
good gets the satisfaction of being good. OH PLEASE, that satisfaction didn't help the Altarians when they were getting their butts kicked by the Drengin. PS: Where can you mod the good/evil/neutral attribute bonuses?
CRAPS! Another terrorstar debate, I personally are for terrorstars. Just watch out for George Lucas!
In DA weapons will individually fire on different ships... so your battle ship with 20 Phasor III's won't blow the crap out of a fighter by unloading all of its firepower on that fighter....Which will be good for the warmongers(me)! Here is the link WWW Link
Thanks. What is the newest update for DA?
Is there an "auto-update" feature in stardock central? I haven't updated galciv2 in a while and it's getting old to constantly push the update button. ALSO, I have a DA update bug. It will always say there is an update available. It keeps switching between 0.20b.033 and 0.20a.031. Which is the most recent update for DA?
Okay, this one is from DA (FYI) Debug Message: Version beta 2a last updated on: Thu Dec 14 15:26:42 2006 Debug Message: Checking DX Version. Debug Message: *********DXDiag info follows.********* System Info Time: 12/27/2006, 11:22:44 DirectX Version: DirectX 9.0c (4.09.0000.0904) Machine Name: BJ Operating System: Windows XP Home Edition (5.1, Build 2600) Service Pack 2 (2600.xpsp_sp2_gdr.050301-1519) Languages: English (Regional Setting
I have found this bug with the race logo image. It does this strange thing I can't explain. This bug has been with Galciv2 for a while. In Dreadlords and DA. Also, when you put a race logo on a ship, a quarter of the logo is shoved to the top left of the ship piece. http://i68.photobucket.com/albums/i14/jar_02/bug.png?t=1167239874
Is it normal that Drengin (and you) never added engines to their combat ships? Do the AI realised that they are too big to be useful on such a small map? I didn't see any engines on the ships either. If the Drengin ships were faster, they may have won
You can replace the stock music (mp3 files), which is located in C:\Program Files\Stardock\Totalgaming\GalCiv2\music and GalCiv2\Event Music. Or simply disable the music in-game and run the media player of your choice in the background. That is alot of work for me personaaly, even though I know how to do it. How hard can it be for the devs to put
You should have to have the lesser techs. EX: You want Stinger IV, but to get Stinger IV you must first trade(or research) Stingers I , II, and III.
1) Weapons now target individually. If a ship has multiple weapons and destroys its target with some weapons still unused, those weapons will be fired at the next enemy in line, and so on until all weapons have been fired. The order weapons are used in is based on which is most effective against the present target. FINALLY! <img src="smiles/Laugh
It's *kind of* like rock-paper-scissor, but when you get to the big hulls, you can have all three!
I read somewhere a college student didn't misss one day of college. The day thay had the awards to honor him, he was absent. LOL. I think I read that in Ripley's.
Congrats! It would be Ironic if he didn't respond to this post!
The answer you always hear is, play at higher level. To me that is complete BS. The whole point of GC from the beginning is that AI played fairly. Above maso, for me, I can feel the AI's cheating and it just isn't fun. Before you go talking about how great quad CPUs are, why don't you take care of the some of these basic issues ? I agree that the
If my choice is to play a strategy game online against strangers or against computer opponents that play as intelligently and randomly as human players, I tend to believe I'd probably end up playing mostly against the computer. It doesn't disconnect or swear at me -- yet. LOL! "It doesn't swear at me...yet" That would be funny to have the AI swea
So we'll have a tiny Nibbler inside each ship that can only poop out so much dark matter in a given time frame? 100bc to the guy who gets the reference Yes that was from the same Episode Leela met Zap Branigan(ChamPagn any one?)
And who says they have to immediately get it. Maybe make it so that they have pay X amount of credits to get it. AHA! Bribes will always soften the deal...
