10 times? A billion is 1000 times a million! Oh man, I laughed so hard when I read that. Well... unless evil works on some sort of exponential scale of some sort... then I guess it would work.

Eewwwwwww... G4.
I really don't like this idea at all. It's assumed that pretty much all nations have thousands of civilian ships flying around doing business and conducting tourism with each other. You really don't need to have some ship stealthed in orbit to gather information on a civilization when it's easier to just land there and walk around the street yourself. The information gathering right now is supposed to be how much money you are dedicating in
That's ok, you just won't receive very many points for the win.
Ha, I loved building ships with 32 parsec sensor range. I'd send one of those to each of the races, just to keep tabs on everything that they did. I can see how that could be a problem on a larger map. You'd sit forever watching ships just go by on their routines.
Oh man, good times for all.
Yah, I love that 7 to 1 advantage. (Edit: That was to the post two posts up.)
Yah, when I have my planet being conquored by aliens. I damn well want everyone out there on the front lines. Children? Bah, give them a plasma rifle, searing hot energy is just a deadly no matter who fires it. Crippled people? You don't need legs to drive a hovertank! The elderly? They can intimidate the enemy by being really crotchety and/or smelling bad and beat them upside the head with their canes. My empire is like Starship Troopers, "Everyone fi
I usually throw down one factory, one farm, and one stock exchange. The farm helps them from getting conquered as easily, and provides stock for my invasion ships to use. The stock exchange helps keep them happy as well as gives me a little money boost. For planets that are slightly larger I usually put research buildings like everyone else said.
It seems they usually surrender to the aggressor. I find people surrendering to me when I am in the act of conquering quite often. Not so much when just sitting around though. Could just be me because I don't really have any data or any kind of real valid evidence.
We'll just have to hope for the best I suppose.
Any of you guys find certain things happening each and every game, even when you don't mean for them to happen? For me it seems that the Torians always manage to find a Ranger. Somehow I always end up making friends with the Arcaens, and foes out of the Terrans.
Is there a way to get the game to not put the user files in the My Documents folder? That is incredibly irritating. It's my one big gripe with this otherwise excellent game. If there is no way I can change some data file or something currently I think that should be a change that goes into a patch. There is simply no reason that Gal Civ II should be putting files in the same place as I keep essays and reports that I've written. It
Ah, thank you. I was wondering where those files would be, because I spent like 15 minutes looking around the game directory.
Hey everyone. I bought the game yesterday and have been having a blast. I decided that I would play a game as a pack of squirrels, and so I changed the Terrans into some new race I called the Rakunks. Well the novelty of that wore off and so I went to put it back to normal and now I have no idea how. I changed the ship type and coloring, and all of there special abilities, and now I have no idea how to get them back to normal. Anyone have an
