3) Like nullspace said, you don't need life support modules. If you need to get your ships farther out, just build a starbase or conquer/colonize a planet or three between you and the target. Oh, thats all you have to do! What if you want to strike a strategic blow to the enemy as soon as possible at a planet deep within their territory? Maybe those 3 planets in between are POS class 1-3 planets, and the planet you want to take is class 19 in "deep spa

You guys are first place because of the people who have joined! You could go from a 1st place empire to a 10th place empire if people defect and decide to join other empires. Perhaps, I work on getting some to defect from the Galactic Diplomats.

My take: While the built in civs have extra bonuses, you are stuck with those bonuses. With a custom races, you can create anything you want to work on a concentrated strategy you may have. I can definetely see why the devs lowered racial bonuses for custom races. Otherwise, like the manual says, why even use a default race?

HAHAHAHAHAAH LOL!!!!! kind of funny if you think about it: Low morale???? Load them up in the transports and send them to war!!!!!!! The result: morale improves because you have less population or maybe the population is "scared" because some of them just got drafted (of course we know the former is true). Reminds me of that saying "the beatings will continue until morale improves".

Luck??? What really is luck good for??? Is it worth it to put towards luck when you can instead put towards economy and other racial bonuses???

I have to agree with many points from the previous post. However, I love the strategy of putting alot towards social, which is something I never really thought of (most of my game I leave the sliders at 33% each), and then once your planet is fully developed, unused social goes toward military. That is an effective strategy, since you can then put more towards research as well... The only thing is you may have to rush buy many ships (mainly colony ships, survey ships, and contructors to steal

Here's what I had to offer one of the minor races in exchange for Harpoon II: Xinathium Hull Plating Advanced Barren World Colonization Advanced Heavy Gravity World Colonization Advanced Radioactive World Colonization Advanced Toxic World Colonization Beam Weapon Theory Basic Miniaturization Aquatic World Colonization Fertility Acceleration Fusion Power Plants Heavy Gravity World Colonization Anti-Matter Power Plants

so quit spreading blatant lies. The computer I bought was brand new, completely off the shelf with Vista installed and a top of the line Nvidea card. GAL CIV 2 DA was unplayable (very, very choppy), and Supreme Commander started to work until I installed some patch and then everything else messed up. I couldn't even uninstall and reinstall the game. When I say I tried to install old games I mean games like Rollar Coaster Tycoon 3, and Warhammer 40K Da

For those of you who got Supreme commander to work alright. How do you all like it? I think it rocks, and its a good change of pace form Galciv 2 DA which is also awesome. Sometimes you just feel like quick destruction.

I bought a brand new computer so I could play the new RTS, Supreme Commander. It had VISTA on it. The computer was usless and non of my games worked, so I payed to put back good old XP on it. Now my computer works like a charm! Screw Vista!

Defend this guest: explain to me how God is not an Evil f@##$ing bastard for sending humans to Hell to burn forever. Does he do this to listen to our eternal screams? Does he do it so people in Heaven can be entertained by it? You can talk about homosexuality, sin, murder, lying, cheating, etc. all you want but I say God is an evil F@#$@#$#$ bastard that puts all these issues to rest with his blood lust and apparant joy of seeing his creations suffering in eternal torment.

Have you seen the movie Gattaca??? There is no gene for the human spirit. Oppressed and outraged by the superiors we could use our rage and hatred to give us a huge morale advantage. Raw hatred and willingness to fight is probably one of the best attributes a warrior can have. Just look at Braveheart. Outnumbered and out-teched by knights, they proceed to kick some English butt. Why do you think the war in Iraq goes ill? We are America and we have superior technology. But these terrorists

It's just that the AI is really good with the weapons approach. Or, more accurately, the AI is better at that than the other tactics. Personally, my favorite tactic is research and economy. With good research you can get everything. Summer of 2230, the Drengin had a HUGE fleet of Singularity Driver ships and an even bigger fleet of Super Dominator Corvettes. They declare war on me. I didn't even have Space Weapons. Three dark turns ensue, with numerous losses in co

Maybe God wants us to do genetic engineering. How is it possible for us to throw a monkey wrench into God's plans if he is perfect and powerful beyond measure? If he hates genetic engineering so much, then why don't He smite us within the blink of an eye? People probably thought cars were "of the Devil" when they were invented over a hundred years ago. Now, we just accept automobiles as a part of daily life. People use to think it was ok in God's eyes to own African American slaves, but now

Yeah, as great as the ship combat animations are, you would think that ground invasion graphics would be better than practical "atari" quality. I know with a few minor animation changes to ground combat, conquering the galaxy would be alot funner (although it already is pretty fun! ) Specifically this is what they could do: If playing as a default race, have the soldiers at least kin

Planatary Invasions in MOO2 looked alot better. I don't remember too much, but I believe there were technologies for tanks and big mechs to defend planets. If you had that tech and structure, you would then actually see them fighting.
