I agree that scouts should be immune as well.
Eventually, I carted my full tower case over 1 km by foot to be able to activate my game electronically. I almost got mugged. Thanks for that, by the way.
This isn't Stardock's fault. Its the mother %%@% that tried to mug you's fault. This is why I am against any form of gun control. People kill people not guns. If everyone at VA tech had been packing, I doubt Cho Sung We or however the F you spell that twisted guy's name would have masacred so many, but I
Okay boys and girls, before this goes too far without a bit of eye witness reporting. I've been to Iraq as a soldier and many US servicemen think that we should cut and run. Those are the guys and girls that came over after the beginning of the war. I was there right after the beginning, for thirteen and a half months, and I had the honor to be there when our bulldozers dug up the mass graves. I got to see the skeletons of men, women, and children (even babies people) come rolling out of
Ah..what is wrong with american bashing. I am not asking a rhetorical questions. From my understanding, in the U.S, you guys don't know dirt about other people's culture and also think you yourselves are the greatest nation and the most powerful in the world. Not only that, everyone should and ought to follow your way of life. But then, there is som little incident on September 11, 2001 that gave everyone of you guys a little rude awakening which is...many parts of the developing world ar
If you wanna discuss the atomic bombings of Japan, that really deserves a thread entirely its own. There are very compelling arguments on both sides.
What discussion? The mother f@#$% attacked us first. They didn't even have the honor to announce their attack. It was a sneak attack. Sneak attacks break the laws of warfare. Using atomic bombs might also be against the laws. But what the hell? The laws at that point were completely out the window. You break
EA has finally invoked the boycott button. I'm fine if you use DRM in a purchased product. If it really bothers me, I'll get a crack or find a workaround. But, the Spore Creature Creator demo contains Securom, an overly-potent DRM solution that phones home without any grounds for suspicion. I steer clear of malware on my computer, but now I've discovered that even EA cannot be trusted. You have my boycott notice, EA. I may even pirate a copy of Spore, j
AoC beats the pants off of WoW. WoW just gets so, so boring.
Hands down the Alien Queen. Just a sack full of face huggers!
It can't be any worse than wow. lol
I feel you buddy. TOA has its share of bugs. They piss me off too.
Robots don't have morale unless programmed in. I think the Yor should have been balanced around always having 100% approval but have other disadvantages like having half of your population freeze up because of some random electrical surge...
Comparing piracy to stealing a physical item is a horrible comparasion.Piracy is more like finding something you need (headphones, a tool, ect) on the ground, but wouldn't pay for in a store. Basically, most people who pirate things would never have bought them. Most people I know pirate music. Do they go screaming down the halls "YOUR HURTING THE ARTISTS!!"? There's 2 types of arguments for piracy on the Internet.Piracy is good and the current business model for buying games is outdated.
"OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Spore is awesome BUT I WILL NOT BUY THIS GAME BECAUSE HEAVEN FORBID I HAVE TO CONNECT TO THE INTERNET EVERY 10 DAYS!!!! Never mind the fact that you would almost certainly want to connect to the internet anyway to download the inevitable patches for it. Fine don't buy it. Your loss.Hahaha, all 1 patch to be released...Hold on a second...The second will come out a year later and fix maybe 1/4 the bugs. All the while new worse ones shall arise!
And whats
Not directed at anyone except pirates: You are the reason we have to deal with this crap. This is such utter misinformed horsecrap. Copy protection DOES NOT STOP PIRACY! Most games are online for download on or before release date. The software companies are not stupid. They know this. In fact someone I know who works for a well known software company has said that these days it's more and more about control (just what else will this Securom check be doing?) and also that stores like WalM
Of course some of you guys think putting lots of copy right protection on a game isn't nearly as bad as pirating games.
Ok my bad. I meant to say that some of you guys think pirating games isn't nearly as bad as excessive copy right protection.
Honestly, this made me laugh. Did you even read the SD/IC policy on DRM? Do you really think it's necessary for them to put idiotic bullcrap like this on their games? Here, do yourself a favor, read this: https://forums.sinsofasolarempire.com/post.aspx?postid=303512.DRM isn't necessary for anything, everything gets cracked eventually, this might slow it down, but it won't help a game sell legal copies any more, infact, as this thread shows, games would probably do better without DRM, beca
Honestly, how often is you internet down? How about for entire days? It might be slow at times, but how often is it downright down? Not directed at anyone except pirates: You are the reason we have to deal with this crap. Purchase the damn game and have some honor. Should we be angry at companies who take necessary action? Should we be mad at soldiers for taking necessary action in times of war? Dire circumstances require dire actions. Next time your friend pirates sof
Nice so we can fleet with terror stars. Also, is it a designed feature to have destroyed colonies (when you choose to destroy a colony on the planet details screen) leave the planet at 0 quality?
I was able to post to the metaverse.
Not sure if Stardock is aware or if this has been said, but if you try to create a fleet with a terror star and another ship the game crashes to desktop. Are we supposed to be able to create fleets with terror stars? On another note, if you optionally destroy one of your colonies on the planet details screen, the planet becomes planet quality 0 and can not be colonized again. Is this intended?
I noticed that when you choose to destroy a colony on the planet details screen (which I often do as I spore the galaxy as Korath), the resulting planet is at class 0!! Is this intended? Destroying colonies can be a good tactic then if it leaves behind useless planets, and if intended and not a bug, this makes terror stars weaker...
I don't know if this has been mentioned but creating a fleet with a ship and a terror star causes a crash to the desktop. Are you supposed to be able to create fleets with terror stars for escort? I.E. is this a designed feature of the game or does Stardock not want us to be able to fleet with terror stars?
