After playing several games with a custom race my abilities randomly go up. Sometimes quite high, I've gotten +50 on diplomacy and +30 on research before. Is this something that is suppose to happen or is it some sort of bug?
My machine isn't powerful enough to run more than a medium map with a normal amount of stars so I don't run into that problem too often.
That happens to me too.
In one of the campain games the nano ripper saved me from the Dread Lords. Do not dis' the power of the nano ripper. 5 damage at $150 compared to 2 and $33 I believe isn't bad when you're severly out gunned.
Yes, super projects are cumulative. I once got 4 hyperion shrinkers. It was crazy.
I got bored and decided to update to the latest beta verson and when I went to stardock and told it to update it sat there for half an hour saying "Loading File List" and when I try to download the update directly from the site it will not load the page.
I rarely use defenses and instead put a few extra engines on my ships so if I'm out powered I can pull back and regroup.
