Yep, I've noticed this too - getting lots of timeout problems if my bandwidth is in use by other apps , but problems go away if I stop them and retry. Just my tupence, but it looks to me like an ASP.NET configuration problem. Try upping the default timeout for the webserver from 30 secs iirc. Probably somewhere in web.config or machine.config.....
