i dont have any good experience with the a.i. aswell. they only seem to build little hull ships with only one weapon and no defence....and then like 10.000 of em while this might seem a fun race tactic at first, it gets boring real fast if u notice that EVERY a.i. controlled race acts like that. they hardly ever build medium or large hull ships that are well designed in terms of weapon/defenses. even when i gave em the tech to

nice job. i dont understand why all the reviews are so crazy about the a.i. i mean dont get me wrong...i really like the game and all but i dont think the a.i. is so very good
oh yeah i completely /agree it sure isnt a core factor in gameplay and yes it would just be added "fluff" as u put it. ive been playing games for about 17 years now and many times ive had toughts id like to see implemented in some game....some ideas where realistic.....most where not. but this moral dillema stuff really set loose my imagination. id really like to see some more features added to that...even if they do it later
There is a limit to the amount of starbases you can build. It's built into the size of the map since no two starbases can be within 3 squares of another. So, you got what you wanted, only not excacly how YOU want it but how the designers INTENDED it to be. Great that it's THEIR game isn't it? You're just lucky you get to even play it. thats N
----------------quote----------------- It's great in concept.... and it follows the basic idea I have for an empire management game.... but it would take an awful lot of work. Eventually people would be saying - hey, there's only 3 possible outcomes for each of the first decisions, you need to put in more.... And so on. Basically it's great but a huge huge project.-------------------------- yeah i was thinking about that aswell. but on
i think you should. there are powerfull artefacts that races (you also) can find in the game that make you really powerfull. i dont know exactly how powerfull or what it does......hmmm quess im of no much help to you
I never played galciv before and i really like those moral dillemas... but wouldnt it be cool if those choices u made can come back later to bite u in the ass (or possible reward u with something). example: lets say u get that dillema where u have discover strange pod-like aliens (plantlike). soldiers in training can be put inside those pods causing em great pain but increasing their soldiering. 1 u can leave em alone (
i really think there should be a limit to the number of starbases u can build . last game i played all a.i. players had like 12 influence starbases around every planet they owned and then some just in the midlle of nowhere. even the "mighty" paulos game in with an armada of 16 constructors to build influence starbases in my sector. when i destroyed them he just rebuild his lost starbases over and over again. the same goes for the ot
maybe its a metaphore (sp?) for when u expect to find nothing at all you are happy when u find something small
anybody got any opinion on this at all?
dude ive been waiting for a map editor for games like this for a looooong time. u have no idea how much i restart a galaxy to get one i rly like. anyway...is there some help file to go along with your map editor? cause theres a few things that i need explaining on when using your editor.
one guy is constructing a map editor... look in this post: https://forums.galciv2.com/?ForumID=348&AID=107029 maybe that editor will allow you to place more minor races when its released (wich should be soon) good luck
funny how all of you seem to give a differnt answer

I was ruling as a high tech race last game and one of the other races was doing really bad.....so i decided to give him some of my ships (since i had a tech advantage to all other races these where the best ships in the game besides the my own). then after some 50 turns just when i am at war with th humans he attacks my resource starbase with the ships *i* gave him!! basterd!!...he almost got my space station aswell. twas a n
