I have a Win7 64 bit and they don't work. They can't be dl'd from the website because they only come with the program.

It seems that none of the included skins (e.g. Aero Metals, Aero Woods, etc.) work. Why not? And, why are they included in the program?
I read some of the more recent posts and followed the advice to set for compatibility with Vista SP2. I did that and copied all three cursors (r-grille, Ascari, and Storm). No freezing. So, the problem does seem to be with the program itself and that it doesn't work with Win7 64 bit.
Well, I downloaded Ascari a second time and put it in the folder. No freezing of the program. Then, I downloaded storm. Program froze. Removed storm, still froze. Removed Ascari, still froze. I really don't think the problem is any particular cursor but I have no idea what the problem could be. Any other ideas or do I simply have to go to the themes folder to apply the cursors? Seems to defeat the purpose of having the program though.
Yesterday I downloaded 2 cursor sets: Ascari and Centurion. I really liked the way they looked on the site. Today, when I went to change cursors, my program froze (it's the free version). I started at the earlier alphabetical one, Ascari, and the program worked fine. Then I tried an older cursor, r-grille. After switching to that cursor, and restarting the program it froze. So, I switched cursors again manually by clicking the file in windows explorer.
Well, I tested my cursors by putting them all into a different folder and replacing by each letter of the alphabet (fairly quick this way). Turned out that the culprit was the Color+OS pack. They were the only ones which froze the program. All others work fine. My hard drive had recently crashed and the program worked on the old HD and I had an old download of those same cursor+os cursors which caused no problems. So I tried copying those old ones to the new fold
As Emily Littella would say, Never mind! It was on the Dell theme. So, although WB7 worked, logonstudio didn't. So, I switched to a Win7 aero theme and now it works.
Recently my hard drive crashed and I had to replace it. Before, when I wanted to switch logons, all I had to do was open the logonstudio program and do so. Now, when I do it, the logon does not apply. It appears to be the Win 7 default black one. Not sure why. Any ideas?
I just dl'd the free trial version of this new program. It's even better than the old one and works great on Win7!
"Can you please post the support ticket number where you were told there were no plans to update WindowFX please." Sorry, Neil, I already deleted the emails. If what I was told is wrong, then I'm hopeful that SD plans to update FX for Win 7. That is a pretty cool program and it would add a nice touch to Win 7.
A couple weeks ago, I contacted SD directly and they responded by saying that they don't plan to update FX for Win 7. Too bad, I liked the FX program and it would be a nice addition to Win 7.
Thanks Dude. That solved my mystery.
I appreciate all the attempts to answer my question but I still can't locate the logons. I even did a search on the C drive for .ini files. Of course, that turned up over a 1000 and it didn't help. I don't have any of the folders Wiz mentioned. Still a mystery to me. I think they are actually just wallpapers that the program converts to logons.
Wiz: I tried that but no such folders. I've tried doing searches for the specific logons which show in the actual program and also no luck. A real mystery to me.
When I had XP, I knew where to find the logons. I can't locate them in Win7. Anybody know where they are? Or are they simply jpgs located in a special place?
Island Dog: That worked. Thanks. Sure wish the people at Stardock had told me that. Maybe you should work for them. :)
Just bought WB7 and followed all instructions but keep getting that aggravating "continue or buy" screen. Stardock's closed now so they won't help me now. Does anybody know how to get rid of that screen?
I just got a Win 7 computer and had WB6. If I try WB7 and don't like it, is it easy to revert back to the regular win7 gui? Or, even if I do keep it, can I switch b/w the 2 guis (win 7 and WB7) at will?
BTW, my WB system info is different now: WindowBlinds version : WindowBlinds 6.3 (build 68 x86) WindowBlinds is installed correctly on this PC WindowBlinds appears to be activated on this PC Your machine supports per pixel borders on WindowBlinds skins. BigDog: I had already restored my pc to a prior date when I had the previous version of WB. I had also sent a request for support to SD. Curt replied by telling me to install/update via impulse. So, I first dl'd impulse, then updated WB and it works fine. I guess stardock central is no good any more. Maybe I should uninstall it.

That wouldn't work because the menu bar of FF is already at the very top of the screen. There is no blank space. And, there is no maximize for the WB config dialog. Besides, this should not be happening and never showed up as a problem till this latest WB version. I think there's a programming error in this new update.
I updated to the latest WB version. I restarted my computer and now when I launch programs, the top bar is missing. That's the bar with the minimize, restore, and close buttons. Examples of where this bar is missing are: the desktop properties dialog box, the WB config dialog, logon studio dialog, Firefox. About the only program that doesn't do this is Incredimail. What gives? Is there a fix? I have XP SP3 and no other version of WB did this.
Well, I have no idea why but I re-downloaded the program from the fx site and re-installed it. Before doing so I checked the version by right clicking on the .exe in the programs folder and it was 2.0.0.1. Yet, after re-installing it was still the same version. But now the control panel comes up much more quickly and I can also simply go into my computer and double click on any theme and open it that way. So, even though I have no idea what happened, it now works great. Zubaz: XP is
All of a sudden my Cursor FX doesn't work. I double click on the cursor fx control panel icon and the program takes a while to open. Then, unlike before, when I try to scroll down to pick a new cursor, the program says not responding and the window goes blank. I have to hit ctrl alt del to end the program. So, basically I can't use this program at all. Seems like these bugs should have been fixed before release.
