They key to all of this negativity is to let it go. Forgive them, independent of what they do. I heard a good statement the other day- "Forgiving doesn't mean forgetting and it doesn't matter the response of the other person. It's your choice to let go of an injustice to you so you can live your life in freedom from it." Move on, though it's tough. There's too much life to live to waste it listening and responding to anger. Brad, you've accomplished a LOT and y

It's sad that there enough people that act this way it's necessary to post something like that. Then again, what's easier to do- love or hate? Posting online strips away the relational aspect of humanity, so all that's left is thought and emotion. Given the human tendency toward selfishness, these reactions shouldn't be surprising, but are still quite upsetting regardless.
You, sir, just earned +1 karma. Thanks for the detailed info. I'm thinking last time I checked on this was prior to the improved city detail page.
To answer my own question, I guess not. Things seem to be updated properly. Kudos to SD on this!
I had the 1.01 version of FE. I just updated with the patch to 1.02. Do I need to restart the Scenario (I've beaten the first map so far)? I'm hoping the XML will just update and things will work well. I'll test it out tonight to see if things are working OK.
No problem, Nakor. Derek (or someone else) needs to change this post to say ***Released*** at the top instead of Unreleased. Downloading it now. Awesome changelog.
Does anyone know if multiple Towns have cumulative effects when they build empire-wide buildings like Grocer or Butcher? I had two towns and both built those buildings, but it didn't seem to have any effect on increasing the grain for my cities. So, do those bonuses stack?
Is this out now? I see the Update in the Stardock Store showing 1.02.0, though the full download is 1.01.0.
Like the ideas, Firefly. Influence is kind of a "tack on" mechanic. I'd love to see it more integrated earlier on. You have to be very intentional about finding/using it, and I think the role could be expanded and integrated like you mention. It almost makes me wonder why there's both Prestige and Influence. They kind of mean the same thing and could be combined to work together. Prestige is also a hard one to get to use/understand.
Thanks, RoscoP! While you're at it, you may nudge Derek: https://forums.elementalgame.com/415301/page/1/#3276671 Or maybe it would be worth just creating a new post on reporting issues if most of that isn't applicable. There are lots of new forum users reporting issues, and anything you or other SD employees want to know could be posted here.
This post should be updated to remove references to the beta, as well as broadened to include a focus not just on crashes, but general info on how bugs/suggestions should be reported.
The next patch mentions crash fixes. Maybe that will fix it for some folks.
Looks like this may get fixed in 1.02:
Fixed an issue that can cause forests to look white when going from cloth map to world view
https://forums.elementalgame.com/436548
I'd love to see a better increase in the sale prices of items. It's often that I'll get multiple good weapons, but without anywhere to use them, and selling them is has such small benefit. I know there's the desire to encourage adventuring instead of buying stuff and to not game the system, but it's also pretty frustrating to have 5 good swords that should sell for at least 50 gildar and get only 10 for them each. Any chance there could be some sort of research ite
Does the text scale? I'd love to see the UI scale generally. Not sure how much work that would be (probably a lot), but I've played several games where you can choose how large the HUD is as a percentage. Would be really awesome to see that here.
Kael just confirmed that this is in the next patch (1.02)! https://forums.elementalgame.com/436437
Huzzah! That's an awesome improvement that will make tactical battles more enjoyable.
Make sure the description reflects that it's reducing/increasing the base value instead of the overall attack.
I was going to have the AI scan your hard drive for incriminating files, then black mail the player into letting it win.
That sounds pretty fair to me. I mean, you gave it admin rights to install, right? Working on the tactical AI is great news. I've been playing the Scenario (finally) and really noticed some poor AI choices. For instance, AI being too cautious while approaching to attack. Or failing to target a unit wit
This post can probably be un-stickied now from the Elemental Dev Journals forum.
Honestly, player designed units are kind of a pain. Designing a unit, while it has strategic implications, is one of the less fun items. I'd rather see a bunch more (as in, probably 4x as many) premade units that become available as I level up technology and offer similar options than customizing unit traits/weapons. I totally understand if others disagree, but the lure of the game for me is exploration and expansion, just not as much the fine details of each unit's traits. Seems a bi
Also, if you load a save game and then update FE, it results in some strange behavior since the XML/mechanics have changed.
Hmm... maybe because he was blind he cast Growth by accident? ;) Sounds like a bug.
And current experience points/progress toward the next level, minimally as a tooltip over Level or as progress bar from the Strategic screen.
I'd love to raise river tiles to allow my units to pass along them quickly, but the engine doesn't allow it. :(
