I went through the tutorials today, just to see how they changed from FE. Great job! Easy to follow. Good narration and flow. I was struck how much easier it is to understand the game mechanics as you explained them. One comment, though. There were entirely too many videos of heroes dying. Dying to dragons. Dying to Umberdroths. Dying to Death Demons. Were you feeling particularly vengeful that day? ;)

When you are choosing options of things to build, one of the options is Demolish. However, there's no tooltip or description. I'd recommend adding one to the bottom saying "Click on an existing building to demolish it."
I tried replicating this with a manual save the turn before completing the Tower of Dominion and that worked just fine. So, it's possible it's an autosave thing.
At least the tooltip over Fame should show you when you get the next hero.
Is it just the autosave that would do this, or would it happen on a regular save, too? I might have to test this out since it's so easy to reproduce.
That's ALL of the improvements. Just wondering about the changes between .95 and 1.0 (if any).
I'm not really clear if .95 became 1.0 or if there were changes that happened in the interim.
Hopefully this site shows up on Metacritic!
Yes- they need those traits to use plate or chain. It's too bad you can't train troops to gain/change traits. That would be sweet. The only upgrade you can get is equipment. :(
Brad said that Legendary Heroes will be the last chapter in the War of Magic storyline. It doesn't mean it's the last entry for this genre. It's just that others won't continue this background. I'm also hoping for DLC other than just a map pack. I'll buy it.
Some good finds here.
Patience.
Nowhere in the description does it mention that it requires essence, hence my confusion when they are randomly unavailable. That makes a lot of sense now, thanks, parrotmath!
Does it grey it out with a description that says you can't build it with no essence, or does it just not show up at all?
Good point.
Man, it seems like having the XML case-sensitive sure causes a TON of bugs with things not working right. I mean, PlagueStalker vs Plaguestalker. Yeesh! The capitalization should only aid in the display of the info, not totally destroy a quest because of a non-capitalized 's'.
Does the description mention they require essence? Or do they show up as greyed out with that reason in the build list?
It'd be very easy to script, just a few changed values and you'd be off. I know this because all the factions in the Stormworld mod for FE featured faction-specific mounts.
Any chance Stormworld will be updated for LH? Or are you done with modding?

With the upcoming 1.0 release, there should be a sticky added to the Legendary Heroes Support forum with info on how to report bugs/requests, especially since some new players will be coming in for the first time. Potential topics: *How to word the subject line- version number in brackets followed by a meaningful description *How to troubleshoot problems- updating video card driver, verifying the data files on Steam, remove mods, etc. *Where to go on your PC to
Beat it last night. My army had a power rating of 2000, though. I had a storm dragon after conquering a Wildland, which helps, plus 3 cavalry, 2 bow masters, and 2 champions. Oh, and a level 19 Air Elemental.
Oh, you ran into the 'invulnerable caravan of war' ploy. Nasty, isn't it? I think the invulnerable caravans should be invulnerable to monsters/wilds, and not kingdom/empire forces.
So, basically the caravans would have the Stealth trait.
Air Elemental does. But it is a bit disappointing to see a lightning dragon just walk across the map.
Were they doing that to avoid a monster on an existing road? If so, that would be really cool. Did they end up getting to their proper destination?
I'm curious- does that also make other troops gain 0 XP, too?
