Yeah the campaing suck. I'm at the mission where you are allied with torian arcean and altarian against drengin, and all mission before were so boring... I dont think I'm going to finish it, I prefer playing normal game on huge map vs 9 opponents That's even more fun at challenging level if you are in the middle of the map like my actual game. lol

By the way, in 4 games I played, only 1 of them the drengin were not a threat to anyone. (korx destroyed them) In all other games, they are always superior, in war technology and size of empire.
There is a new update available for the 9800 pro radeon on the microsoft update web site. Just give it try. I never had problem with this card, it just kick ass even with only 128 mbs !!

Well thanks for people who give an answer. Then the text is useless. Finnally, I like the idea of a bit more presence of minor race. Spy, 2-3 planets instead of one. That would just be great.
So specialization is better than balancing each planet ? But wont it affect the manufacturing point on a planet ?
I have to admit diplomacy is probably the weak point of galactic civilization 2. If I'm poor and technology advanced, I can sell all the techs I want for money and the cpu will always accept it. So you can obtain 5000 bc from minor race by trading like 6-7 outdated tech. That's too easy hehe. Lot of example like that. I think the race should be more personalized too. They look too much the same in diplomacy.
I have found many old posts about spy on minor races but none of them had an answer. Could someone tells us how to spy on minor race and if there is not possiblity to do it suggest me to do it in the info ?

I like the industrialists party. It's the only one I'm using right now. I think I would give a try to the populist, the war party or the universalists. Since I'm a Québec separatist I hate Federalists Others party looks okay but I dont think I'm going to try them.

I played small map first game at normal difficulty and all default setting. It was too easy. I like micro management and when there is none it's boring for my part. So when I have over 20 planets I enjoy it This is what I got in my second game on a large map, with all the same setting. Your system look unbalanced, lot of problem can occur from this. For my part, my pc is athlon 1.8 gig (athlon 2500+ xp pro) But I have 1.5 gig of pc2700, wich make my pc kicking ass, for now hehe.
Seriously, do I am the only one not to like Civilization 4 ? I find it is a crappy game, it is incomplete and children looking. I dont like the way they set up the management. I'm an hardcore fan of civilization since the first one. The only fun thing are religion and the main and only one true improvement is that how you shape governement and politics. I have purchased the special edition at pre-order. I still regret my 70$ canadian dollars. I'm thinking about selling it on ebay.
I play Star Republic and I'm on a conquest game, I always maintain 70% of approval and I'm playing at challenging difficulty, for my third game. It's my first time I try thoses setting and everything working great ! This is actually not a problem to do war or make a conquest with this type of governement; I dont know for the others. Anyway, the vote period and thoses difficulty just had something necessary to this game, in my opinion.
