I am using a Geforce 8600 M in a Dell laptop. My driver is updated as of February 2008. Forceware version 174.31, driver 7.15.11.7431. I am still getting a hang-up between turns. The turn begins and never cycles. Any thoughts on what is causing this one?

When an anomaly generates cash, it does not get added into my cash on hand. My bad. It's getting added in.
I haven't had time to do a lot, but a couple of obvious ones: The default Terran has 2 pts too many abilities according to the screen. I don't remember what the old ones were. Basically, no escape unless you are technically superior in a facet that allows you to escape and than only if you can outrun the enemy both physically and via sensors.
Cargo hulls loaded with sensors and engines make great early warning craft. You can set up a DEW line around an area for very little investment. They can move quickly to track incoming ships while staying out of range. Very effective against the AI tactic of sneaking in unescorted troop transports, expecially when you control a corner. At normal levels it seems to confuse the AI when all its transports get zapped as soon as they move into your spac
I agree. The lack of any control over the battle is pretty annoying. It would be nice to be able to cut your losses and live to fight another day.
My ship design wish list is for an upgrade to carry over all the equipment from the original ship, not just the extras. That way I can see if I can put something new in without having to replace all the equipment.
