the F1 or f2 buttons are close enough to a transparent screen, I see no reason for them to make this fix.

YES!!! THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!!!!!! :CONGRAT: I see london i see france, i see ADVENT ships and they look sweet! :SURPRISED: This diary was definatly worth the wait, good read thanks now I want to revel in my victory :HOT:
wasn't trying, sorry of thats what it came across as. A similar idea was brought up and no one reponded. There wasn't much interest in satlite systems, and to an extent exploring your planets usually give you a bonus. Stuff like metal minning, crystal mining, building cost, and bombbardment infustructure can be enhanced depending on discoveries. ;p
its to late to add anything into the game :( sry
im going to kill you one day avvy...
Not if i lag out first :P
Thats SNAPTASTIC!! :CONGRAT:
I, Avatar, am sorry to announce that I have to withdraw from the sins tournement at 4:15 EST.
Great, so you want to take what people are already screaming over, and "nerf" it further (to the point of actually being a nerf...).
this issue has come up a bunch of times Ron. Im sure its not going to be changed so im going to let it die.
how?? a fleet would just be trappend there for 2 mins, they can't run or move on unless they kill the PJI so its the same thing as the current way around, why do you think that scouts were able o jump in and out of phase disruption? What?
meaning that this is just like the current system, only there is a time limit. The way to leave the is to destroy PJI. Only difference is, if your fleet remains after 2 mins it can jump onwa
*EXCEPT* out around the edges, where an intelligent opponent will rally-route his ships rather than leaving them to the mercy of the pathing AI
really though it doesn't matter becase some people just jump in and watch, not realizing its to late until ive killed at least 8 light frigs. Many times the ships only jump in on one side or the other of the phase lane, its there that they get hit with the gauss cannons not somehwere else
Even with 8 tactical sl
I agree on the PJI changes
I think planetary defenses are too strong.. It just takes too many ships to overcome them atm, thus making single fleet'o'doom only viable option tbh. Janster
Isnn't that what planetary defense are supposed to do? They are there to slow you down until the UBER FLEET OF DOOM shows up. Hit and sun works great with properly managed flacks and LRMS. Flacks suffer from MASSIVE dumbness. THey usually attack ship
im probably going to have to reinstall again. Thanks for making it MP friendly multi!
forcing the enemy to stop and engage your (heavily defended) PJI if he wants to go on. I think there's the problem... these guys don't defend their PJI's
no i did, if I managed my gauss cannons, then I was able to reduce LARGE fleets very very quickly, even if they were
Kilumanjaro, that's what I do and it's even easier with the new fleet option. I love watching the bombers pop!
ron you have a new tip to ad to your thread!
... Amazing. Such a large number of people, yet so few get the simple fact that PJI's are most assuredly a useful -- and often used! -- tool. I never build a defensive position without them (covered by multiple repair centers and gauss cannons!) Properly used, they force the enemy to engage and destroy your defenses before moving on. Do I really need to explain why thats a Very Good Thing?
If i use the tactical slots for another group
Sending in a group of flak frigates to wipe them out first takes time, the same thing a pji does. It's a delaying factor in your bypassing of the system to hit a core world. They are tactically the same effect. The question is not who needs strategy, the question is who needs a pji when bombers accomplish the same end result by requiring a tactical delay before moving through that allows responding fleets that much more time to arrive.
why PJIs are now basically obs
copy the game into a new folder and put the modded files in there
did that and it still didn't work ask eet!spent forever trying only yo keep getting "your data differes from the host" message.
glue! probably velcro ;p
they look amazing even on this crappy machine! Is there anyway to make a sky box color appear? and does anyone know how to load sins from a certain file path so I can keep a modded an unmodded game?
I remember the HUGE conflict this kicked up after they cahnged it. I like the idea of antimatter, because now PJIs are a waste of valuable tactical slots for hangers or gun platforms.
sooo multi, when are these going to be available to to be added? before or after your done with beta 5?
thanks P5yy, Thrawn, you put me in a catsgroy with Annatar....
OMG I love you guys... One day when I meet you I will do you the honor of a reach around...>.> No, no, quite all right.
I think you need some of Ron's devicies....
having not played a large system game, when did stars become unlinked????? edit: in a long time
The orbiting defense setup in hegemonia was a nice concept, just so limited. Alas, that applies to the entire game, so many awesome concepts, done wrong. Would be one of the greats with not a lot of tweaking to the mechanics.
it wouldn't even run on my system! i had a one year old system at the time and it would LAG like nothing else. and then the Z
