From the devs: there will not be a campaign "in the traditional sense". No clue what they're planning, but there will be some form of singleplayer game.
Ron you have got to be tired of saying that.
I'm not sure how, but it started right after your post! Unclosed div tag. Can happen when quoting recklessly...
o i see...
i can fell the erase button closing in.... well in the old days it would anyway
Hey, Avatar, your brokeded the thread!
how? and there is something else called User Actions, what exactly is that for?
Do bear in mind that you need to preorder first, if you haven't
I wonder how many times thats happened...
Megaships have been brought up several times in the past. They won't be happening, AFAIK, though you're as always free to mod them if you so desire.
if you think about it these massive ships would really just be one GIANT target. Think the command ship off Star Wars, everyone and their cousin were having a good ol' time blasting the crap out of it.
He just needs some liquid drano And accompanying video of the cleaning attempt! It's sure to be entertaining.
I wonder what would come out.....
Gang - I'm only going to say this once: There is no public Beta 5. There have never been any plans for a public Beta 5. Brad was mistaken when he mentioned it. There will be a Beta 4 update (at least one) in the near future. There will also be additional internal beta testing going on. Internal testing is under NDA and we will not be announcing publically who those chosen to help out will be.
YEa finally so now stop posting on this
Following the Falcon Punch from Thrawn all of the spoons and forks joined together and formed SPORKS and attacked the crew of all ships..... ...mean while Avatar sat watching the Carnage Avatar: #2 if this doesn't get them we will have to deploy the HOMER #2: NO MY LORD ANYTHING BUT THAT! ill have to clean his cage after.... Avatar: no you noob the spindle nukes that are targeted on the Novalith cannons, Even the little sisters cant' handle them!
...Meanwhile sitting safe on the Ice World of Maine Avatar watches from his secret underground bunker. Avatar: "Henchman #2, is IT ready? Soon it will be time to come from the dark and once and for all defeat those blasted Pirates for good! *evil laughter*" Henchman #2: "Well sir... about IT umm... well #235 took it home to finish some work and uhh snaped the Protoype..." Avatar: "What???? By the Swartz I will have him Executed! We will just have to use THEM! Thats ri
Its a String ID right? Ron said it was already fized.
The TEC superweapon can destroy colonies (the Novalith cannon). No one knows what the Vasari one or the Advent one do. Vasari weapon:
Where did you find this??
THis was a great idea! Now we can do other sins related stuff while being bored with noone on IRC
Do you mean design ships in game? Then no, that won't be in. It's just a different kind of game. For one, designing ships takes time, and with everything in real-time it becomes cumbersome. Then there's the whole balancing issue, etc etc. However, Sins is amazingly moddable, so you will be able to create lots of nifty stuff. There are many weapon types to play with, and you will be able to create your own meshes and such as well.
Yarlen-
We won't be including t
I dont know, I like planet flipping, no trouble for me, with this system I would at least want some kind of compensation, like say having that lost income go my way.
that would make sense, your culture makes them want to buy your clothes, shoes, tv shows ect.
If some players have an average PC that needs to scale back on bump mapping, texture detail, polygon counts to keep acceptable frame rates then that needs to be an option.
I have a 3 year old comp whose harddrive has crashed 3 times..... Sins runs fine fine
The question is , what would EET do to a puppy?
what Yarlen did to the Pink Space Ponies..... OVER IRC!
I don't know about you but I paid to pre order the game and the invite to the beta is a "courtesy" invite that I paid nothing to receive.
exactly, though being in the open/courtesy beta did convince me to buy the game. Edit: It was a deciding factor but not the only one.
I think his point is that the models don't look good compared to what they could be.
I wasn't nessescarily refering to his point, there have been lots of compariosns to HW and Supcom. Its just irritateing to keep seeing "wow this reminds me so much of HW" Would tou like it if you put your work out and get a lot of "wow that looks a lot like something else"?
Fact 3 We paid to be part of the SoaSE beta process. Conclusion: As the beta is not free there is an onus on the developers to show 'fairplay' in this regard which they have to date and I'm sure will continue to do so. I think Thrawn & Yarlen is due our thanks for speaking up with some honesty and openess and I look forward to the next beta/patch should one be released before Feb2008 as would 99% of other public beta testers.
Just because you paid for i
You know that the pirates have the Jolly Rodger skull and cross bones on their stern?
ok well SoaSE is NOT Homeworld. Homeworld is like a reference point that we are using to compare an amazing space based game to! So what if some ships look out of place? The overall game compensates big time. Yes some expectations of the Vasari were unment, but so what? This is BETA guys, just imagine what its going to be like after Beta. HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
interesting idea... i remember this coming up a while ago and i think it got a no stamp.
there are actual kids on the internet who aren't actually FBI? wait how do you know annatar? besides the ewaythings are today wouldn't surprise me one bit if he was.
