well in large games influence becomes a problem. If you have planets that span several stars, it be comes a big deal, esp when you're trying to set up camp not far from the enemy's main sphere of influence.

The orange button does something very cool that I've mentioned several times in the past.... doesn't let you name ships and view a more detailed infromation page?

having skimed over idk if this idea was posed already.... what some games have done is have 4 diff options, start from a certain teir with X # of ships or resources and fight it out or a "battle of the G-ds" in which the techs are all researched and you have to build up you fleet buildings and such an

hehe think about it this way, the TEC are humanoid, not nesesscarily human, so they may percive colors differently, and find conditions under stars more favorable or unfavorable. which would be and awesome addition (even though already the devs have designed a kick-butt game) at some point a dead system, star that could go supernova, go red giant and swallow the first couple of planets ect. <b

Actually it was a random person paraphrasing, apologies Yarlen but yea there were multiply ideas, like limiting ship range, certain buildings add aligience, ships, cultural centers would give more influence for every cap ship built, ect. this thought was posed a long time ago, Yarlen said that it made the game unbalance, but i totally agree with the need for Regional Governors, regaurdless of balance issues, a 15% alligience helps no one.

Sort of like team fortress where the spy "looks" like an allied unit until you get close to it. If you look at the realy old site you can see that the devs are allowing the Vassari to do that (course dk if that is going to still be the feature) I would prefer: No Treaty -> no retreat non-aggression pact -> retreat to neutral/own systems possible alliance -> free passage Tactical b

Allies should simply be excluded from phase inhibitor action. I want the old inhibitors back! please? I agree, while it may help multiplayer then it should be an option that can be turned on or off NOT an automatic death trap), But that is the point! <img src="http://images.stardock.com/gc2/T_DL/smiles/Laugh.g
