Oh, GalCiv2 is a fantastic SP game, but I have hot dreams at night of playing it in MP. Then it would have been the game I played the most, next to the grand EU3.

I'm just very glad Brad wants multiplayer, and that he hasn't given it up. Hopefully we will see it in the next expansion already: Elemental FE; Play the World! :D This game is already shaping up to be one of the very best games ever made, It's already on my top list among games like The Civilization-series, MoM, GalCiv, Europa-Universalis-series and Heroes of Might and Magic 4 (My favorite Heroes game, after that the series has been garbage.... But anyways, the Hero
Quoting 7EA, reply 16 I'm going with Procipinee of Pariden. I love strong magic, and the female characters are much nicer to look at (instead of those ugly men of Elemental. Can't we get same handsome males too?). I believe I also started with Pariden in my first game of WoM. I take that back, Relias is actually quite handsome now that I see him in-game. [/quo
Started playing, works like a charm so far! :D Edit: And already loving it! :)

OK, I've decided to test the Kingdom of Altar and Lord Relias first! What about you other guys here? 82% downloaded by the way! :D
Love you Frog, Dereck, Jon, Stardock! 44% downloaded! [e digicons][/e] Edit: Hmmm, time to read the faction developer diary again. What faction to play first, hmmmmmm? :D
19% downloaded. You others, please wait downloading until I'm finished! :D
Yihaaaaaa! :)
Damn, it's up! Downloading!!!!!!
Does anyone see anything already on his account? I have two entries, one for Galciv 2, one for Elemental... no FE yet, no grayed out or blocked or whatever. Is that correct? I am nervous! EEEK!
I'm nervous too. I see the same as you do, and no signs of the beta..... [e digicons]8C[/e] Clicking F5 every second can make disorders in your mind simular to the berserk spell.....
Nice read while waiting for the beta. Thank you, Froggie! It looks like this game will have a great feel to exploration, fighting for new land and ressources, and finally the map will not be urbanized totally in a few turns. God damn, I can't wait. I'll do my best beta-testing! :)
Nooooo, don't let FE's faith depend on the goodwill of the mob! [e digicons][/e] [e digicons]:S[/e]
Oh yes, but of course I have a dream my system will have no bugs, so I can enjoy the beta from day 1. Hopefully I don't get cancer at least. I'm too young to die, and this game I want to have fun with for years to come.
No girl is so good looking as this game, my friend! ;) Edit: NB! But at least girls works for multiplayer..... :D
I'm at GMT+2 so I've got a long night ahead of me. Good thing I don't have work tomorrow.... If I factor downloading and installing I expect to start the first game *after* midnight
Lucky you! I have to work tomorrow, and after that dating a girl the whole night. Guess I can't really start playing until saturday..... :/
Wow, must say I love Stardock Central. So practical and straight forward. Thumbs up. Can't wait for the download to arrive! :D (Damn, it's hard to live in Norway when Stardock follow eastern US time...... still 3.5 h to go I guess.....)
Quoting Cayyman, reply 93 I am actually very happy with the no multiplayer decision. I for myself do not want to single player experience diluted. Since we (my spouse and I ) like to play together (hotseat, always allied) i am not that happy with no multiplayer. But then, maybe this is an option to implement which could be done without rewriting tactical combat?
I hoped
So we are going to have to buy an expansion to get multiplayer? Seems kind of like a cheap way to make money off people who already stuck around this long or am I just reading the OP wrong?
I'd gladly pay 1000 dollars for a mp exp of this game, if it turns out so good as it seems. And no reasons to change the gameplay because of mp. It's the SP gameplay we all want to see in MP too. No reason to sup
Quoting Cackfiend, reply 22 There will be NO multiplayer .The release game won’t have it either. We may bring it back in some future expansion but no promises because rewriting tactical is a non-trivial endeavor. you cant seriously mean FE wont have multiplayer once it comes out of beta, right? I mean, the main reason to play a
OK, if he abandons some of his silly ideas; like ponies..... ;)
Ditto. I'm so sad. Wish I could play this brilliant game with my friends, and the people from the "No Quitters" Civilization Steam site. Guess I could have made at least 30-40 more people to buy this game only among among the 580 members there. Well, well; the game itself looks brilliant. But if sp only I wont play it as much as if it was mp. I hoped for an alternative for Civilization 5 (that game I only play multiplayer, and I play it alot; 1500 h since release.)
Amazing video. Nice to see this looks like a great strategy game now, with loads of important choices to make. I have the feeling this is shaping up to be an instant classic. (Seen video twice now, guess I'll be getting a coke and some snacks and watch it a few more times. Very interesting stuff.)
I'm not among the facebook users either, the concept of facebook is not for intelligent people. :) But anyways, good idea to be there too, I guess.
I really don't like the idea some ppl have for Civ5 like autoboats for this game. It works well in Civ after they implemented One Unit per Tile, but in a game with armies (many units collectet in one tile doing their own tactical battles) I would not like it. If Frog can make the AI understand how to enter and use transports, why do it in another manner?
