Still mostly greek. Although through repeated games as well as reading through guides, etc - as well as the great advice on this forum - I am feeling more comfortable with what everyone is talking about. Katarina has been a lot of fun. She is a slow starter though and in most cases I have to just sit back and soak up the initial xp while trying to get some last shots in. Depending on the matchup (and I am still only playing AI) it can be dangerous to get too close.&n
Mauxe
Just picked her up...
I'm digging Yi. Squishy but deadly. Just need to bide my time and get someone stretched a little too far... then it's lights out after level 6.
That sounds cool. I'll check them out as I clearly fit that role..... Once I figure out what channels are.
WTH...10 minute Queue............... hehe.. I am position 1 in the queue...and my wait time just jumped from 10 minute to an hour.....
Thanks for the feedback. Good to get some different insight into Champions. The main thing I have learned -the hard way- from Ashe is that the last bar or two iss not usually worth wading through the pack. Patience is a virtue. I tried Yi and, while fun, he was tough to play in a lane. I did a little reading and saw that I need to play him as a quick-strike-combo and then get out...or a jungler. I may try some jungle in the AI games to
I was in GameStop this evening with my sons and as we were getting ready to check out I saw three LoL cards in the display. Two were just for in-game currency but the third was a $5 starter pack card. I ended up picking it up because, well, I like the game and I only own one Champion so far...and it was $5. You get: Annie Ashe Garen Master Yi Ryze Assassin Master Yi skin 7-day XP boost 1-d
Well, I have gotten a handful of games in as Ashe and I am starting to like her a lot. The beginning is a bit slow as she doesn't do much damage - although enough to harass the first few waves of enemy champions(AI) into retreat. Last hit is getting better but still difficult due to 1) the fact that the other player in my lane is also trying to last hit it seems and 2) my damage at the start is low so the margin of error to get a hit in is very low. <
Good video pacov. Thanks for taking the time to make and post that. I'm looking into the different AD carry champions now..
Wow, great information - thanks! I'm still at work but will dive into this a bit more later. I'll add you to my Skype as well. Much appreciated!
So as a new player I am highly enjoying the game. I have watched the last-hit video..and another that I found. Very useful information that is still not so easy to put into practice.. especially with another player fighting alongside and two enemies doing the same on the other side of the pack. Do you have any recommendations for some basics on the different lanes?* Or perhaps I am reading too much into that aspect. The games i am playing right now are ju
I'm not sure why I never checked this game out before. I just did and it's a good time. I need to read through more basic info soon - like some deeper info on the item system - but I've played a few bot matches and a 5 v. AI and it has been a blast. Thanks for the thread.
Might and Magic?
I don't open Impulse to play. I keep the Impulse Dock running and launch the game from there. I experience no difference with my system when I have that dock open.
My little story held true as all of my strong vs. AI/noob skills were torn asunder by pacov in a quick little reality match last night. In some slight defense, as I was not exactly thinking of beating him as much as getting some skilled-player playtime in, I am finding that Rook is a much more difficult DG to beat than I had previously thought. Another skilled player (I forget who at this moment) recently spanked me with him and made the comment that a good Rook is very hard to
Appreciate it. I'll add you both :)
I've not played Dominions yet but I just ordered another, somewhat similar card game called Thunderstone. I play a couple board/card games online (Caylus, Carcassonne, Stone Age) but it's definitely not the same as sitting around a table and playing.
So.. is the quickest way to correct your % by buying a second copy, registering Impulse anew on a second machine and beating yourself? If so I suppose I might try that duirng the next sale. I wouldn't be trying to jump into Pro games but my poor % limits a lot of middle ground. I understand as a good game is a little bit of a time commitment and you want it to be enjoyable. I think I just play every game I can get into (noobs/mids). If I have a room o
Super! The hard work is much appreciated. I'm going to dive into some games now and give some feedback soon :)
Just wanted to say that I appreciate guides+discussion like this, especially when it includes Uberfix andCrazyTown comparisons as I enjoy both of those mods. This one has definitey given me a solid perspective on a DG that I have often ignored for my own play. Thanks again.
Ok, I'm up to speed on Sins finally. I'm on pretty much any night either trying to get a DG game going or playing Sins. I see that pacov is knee deep in F3 and DS3 (that one doesn't do it for me) but if you take a break I'm game to get a Sins game going either Friday/Saturday/Sunday night. My playtime is usually not until ~10:30 or 11:00 EST. lmk
Well, I still get kicked from games. Trying to painstakingly get my game count up to where people don't twitch to the kick button. I didn't realize so many people were waiting to play modded games. We'll get there
I don't play at a Pro level but I keep going back to Hellfire. The minions are squishy but they provide some additional DPS and it's like having an always-on mana battery. I can just keep going and going. Reg has unlimited mines/snipe, Oak has Pen/Shield/AOE always at his call. Non-stop pounce and heals from Sedna....etc. I wish more people used this mod. Most of the games I get into through the game are vanilla.
All day is a long time. If anyone is itching for some moderate-skilled games, I'll be on at night. Also, I have seen quite a few newer players recently. Very nice.
I can name a date/time - but I'm going to play a little sp again first. I never fully explored the x-pacs. Best times for me are going to be night (10PM+ EST) and almost any night. But I'll come back with more specific info shortly. I'll start hanging out on Vent more as well. My DG game count is low (I played from launch but after the big reset a long while back I fell behind and got a bit discouraged) and can still learn a bit - but I&#
