The Moon landing conspiracy was a conspiracy by the Greys so we would undermine NASA. Humanity in space is a threat to their plans on invading us on 2012. Their plan has worked. We were suppose to be in space by now and wear shiny space suits which would make us immune to their weapon. Now, we are doomed. But what if this is a trick? Maybe there

There was a post a while back about the main game, re: Precursors, Arnor, Dread Lords etc. Some people thought that copied MOO (Orions+Antarans), and other people thought it copied something else, though I don't remember the title of the game. I think most people concluded that if it 'copied' so many games, then it was more likely to just be a recurring theme for space games, rather than an attempt to rip off any particular series. I think the concept for the story is so simple, that it's bound

I almost always go for conquest. In Civ I'm a relatively peaceful player, so I was surprised about this when I started GalCiv2. I think the ship designer is one reason I find it more interesting. The other reasons are that the other victory conditions are just so boring. Tech victory is just such a click fest. Hitting "End Turn" so much reminds me of playing MOO3. Wouldn't it be more interesting if you had to find 3 or 4 planets in the galaxy with special artifacts on them. You can only

I think it would be a lot easier to balance the game if the number of buildings were restricted, but I think it would reduce the number of choices available to players, and all planets would end up pretty much the same. I can see advantages to both systems, but what I hope they change the use of tiles to build on. When you have hundreds of planets, you really need to queue up your improvements. It's a real click-fest selecting the tile you want and then double clicking the improvement.

I wonder if this is related to another problem a user posted. I think he was playing the Terran Alliance at the time. The Iconians called him up to warn him that the Terran Alliance were getting too powerful, lol. Oopsie. I have no idea what the post was called though.

IMO the most annoying thing, is that ships on autopilot move at the END of the turn. This means they don't show up as idle as your going through your ships. They may move the extra space, but the rest of their movement is wasted.

Ok, so it isn't really a problem until your ships can move about 20 spaces a turn, but how often have you accidentally clicked too far and set your ship on autopilot, so you have to search for it and deactivate it? I think the map should show the possible movement area of ships (highlighted line, like the life support one). Alternatively, set an option for the ship called "No Autopilot", so autopilot automatically disables itself at the end of the turn. Perhaps in the main menu

X-Com owned all kinds of awesomeness. I'm still a major fan and wish for Atari to somehow revive it, and revive it properly - as they're the ones that currently own the licence, technically - even though it's been over 10 years since UFO Defence/Enemy Unknown (it's from '94/'95). Ditto! Have you ever heard of Laser Squad Nemesis? It's no

lol @ the comic Well, it made me feel better to rant a bit, and it was an exceptionally cheesy and bad message. A few years ago there used to be an old man who went around our town wearing a placard saying the end is coming. He's dead now.

PS in case you think I'm overreacting, please understand that I'm not good at describing what it's like. I've had other religious stuff through the door before. This one is exceptionally offensive. If I hadn't already torn it up, I'd take a pic to show you.

Ok, it's bad enough that they come door-to-door, but check this out. They stuck a leaflet through my door this morning that: A - Groups homosexuality with paedophilia. B - Links other religions with warmongering and terrorism. C - Attempts to scare the reader that the end is coming. The imagery was also quite creepy. One image showed a priest bowing his head in shame near some graves, with a picture of some soldiers and a cannon above them. Of course, on the reverse the

Sometimes I seem to get no good bonuses throughout my empire, and sometimes I hit the jackpot. I just had an awesome start on a game as the Iconians. I can upload screenshots tomorrow. The settings are: large galaxy, common planets, common habitable planets, abundant stars, loose clusters, common anomalies, normal tech rate, 7 opponents (no Korx or Thalans). New Iconia (Class 14) has a +700% Manufacturing Tile, +100% Influence Tile, and +100% Happiness Tile. My Class 1

Personally, I usually make them economy worlds. However, I just got a class 5 planet in my recent game with 3x 300% Research bonus tiles.

Also, I've noticed a couple of times that if I get to choose my alignment, I can choose an expensive one, but the money isn't deducted from my economy. I don't test it much because I usually go for the 0bc one.

BUGS: - When you get an "X declares war on Y" alert icon, you can right click it to contact X, even if you've never met them before. - "First turn economy freeze" still prevents building/researching. - First planet improvements show incorrect build time.
