Do you keep the bonus if you take over someone else's capital? Ie. do you still get the caravan traveling between your capital and the newly captured one?
Viperswhip
Why can't they be random? I don't find the same champs every game and am frustrated when the AI grabs one I would have liked but it adds to the fun. As a human player you have enough advantages without getting top tier champs every time, I mean it's just random. Did you ever watch Xena? You could have Xena or Joxar.
My opinion is that if a city has walls or whatever (and shamefully, I haven't played yet), then most monsters, IE bears, wolves and whatever should not be able to attack a town at all. Spiders should be able to I suppose. Maybe higher level walls or cities should dissuade certain classes of monsters from going too close to them at all.
Well, I haven't actually played the game yet since I was neck deep in getting to the new cap in Lotro when this game came out. I will just come out and say that I have never once played a custom map in any game except Alpha Centauri where the campaign map was a set map. I would love to give you guys 5 bucks for some DLC but maps are not the way to my wallet; sorry. I will try the game out this weekend or next after I browse some of the 1.01 feedback. I greatly enjoy
I think the main problem Civ 5 has is that it proceeded Civ 4, which by the end was...I don't know how to describe it, amazing. It's like Gal Civ 3, why would you make it? You certainly don't need to Gal Civ 2 has everything you'd ever want in that kind of game. You can't beat a 100/100. Was Civ 5 a bad game? No, I think it was probably a good game, but when I still have 4 installed, well, why would I play a good game when I have an amazing game to play instead.</p
Here's a tip, don't sign economic treaties, my god those caravans on the roads are deeply annoying. Please make it so we can walk over caravans.
You can turn down the monster density in the options, it might be in the advanced tab. Myself, I put them at dense, I love leveling up my troops.
Me too, I have found several locked ones, level 5, 7 and 9, but as much as I move around at the start of the game I've found only one for my faction. In my latest game I killed a level 1 of the opposite faction. This makes the guy who can recruit from both sides pretty useless. It also means that Relias' free hero recruitment is almost as useless.
Outposts need roads to them somehow, otherwise the present system is fine. There are few spots on a map that allow for city placement. Edit. Okay lol, one of the few techs I've never managed to research, thanks, it just became more useful.
I can't seem to login to the Fallen Enchantress forums with my Stardock account, but it I try to create an account there, it wants to create a Stardock account. Is there something I am missing? Thanks for any help.
Maybe after FE comes out the team can push WOM over the proverbial rise to greatness. I don't think it is really that far away. I like that I no longer have to imbue a hero in order for them to use their special ability. However, I don't like how there are basically no heroes wandering around any more. Taking away Janusk was fine, but everyone? I used to vigorously pursue heroes but now there are fewer people out there. Anyway, the game is good, not great, but it has h
Well, I've played quite a bit under 1.2 by this point. I have noted that the game is way more likely to have a crash, either through memory loss or something else, if you reload at any time. The game is more fun, I can play for quite a while without crashing, I am trying a large map so we'll see how it goes when I get a bit more of it exposed. I only have 4 gigs of RAM right now as the other 4 are being rma'ed to patriot. A couple things. I have a few mods, so I do
I suppose they believe it will be a bug free, fun game. I don't know how they'll get to that point working from what we are still running here but it will be interesting.
I had a wolf who dodged every attack (a 4 attack, 0 defence wolf), until I auto resolved.
Impulse was the first place I checked for games because I wanted to support Stardock...
At release C- Now...C+ I think.
If someone could update all the TSR goldbox games and the infinity engine games to some nice graphics with updated mod content that would be pleasant. It's not super necessary. I still play them but maybe you would catch a couple of the kiddies and give some new life to the disappearing intelligent game market. I love Paradox games and I love Gal Civ, and I want to love Elemental. I don't RTS but Sins is supposed to be pretty great. I don't think the middle is dead
I've been seeing games lately that REQUIRE DX10 or 11. Why can't we start having games that require a 64bit OS? That would alleviate the memory problems for games that are poorly coded. It's true that many games take big shortcuts these days, but they did in the past as well. However, I blame high speed internet. Games release buggy knowing they can patch them. As we are well aware they often underestimate the difficulty fixing the bugs. I think the last game I played th
Should it not first check for children of age to take over the kingdom?
What happened to all the tooltips? I don't know what the different races do and whatnot anymore, I haven't played this game since 1.06. Also, there is a 6.85 MB update listed on Impulse that I can't download for some reason; it always says filed downloaded was too small or something like that. The game crashed when I alt tabbed to check on these issues. I still have faith, but I guess I will wait to see what the finished products brings.
I don't recommend it to anyone yet, but if you buy it by the end of today I think you get a couple free expansions when they come out. So... I do have tremendous faith in the crew at Stardock, so you might buy it and just wait for 1.1 or whatever before actually playing it.
Begin using the campaign for the first time through. It's basically set up as a tutorial. The traits are something you will have to experiment with. I know that new players to any game or the genre in general have a play style that works best for them. To advance to multiplayer or higher difficulties will depend on your ability to vary your playstyle to new situations that develop. I don't know if there are any play vids on youtube for elemental but you might look for s
Please make it so your children can also cast imbue champion. They are channelers as well aren't they? Or did that change as well, either that, or make combat oriented heroes way more effective. As it is, only the spellcasters remain useful in late game.
@ Yellowstone_1872 By far the best wife in the early game is Ayen Mitela. I actually look for her. Getting the Dominate ability is superb, and having your kids get it is pretty great as well. The other good trait is Adventurer I think, but to be honest, I am not sure that option is worth it, for some reason I can't wear traveler's boots with anyone with that option as
I admit the tree isn't quite a fun as the one from some other games, but it is pretty good. You can go for buildings, you can go for quests and adventure, you can go for equipment/troop upgrades, or for magic equipment, or for upgrades to your diplomatic status. There's lots of choice there to agonize over. Within each of those subsets there are even more choices so it's not like you don't have consequences to your choices, which is what makes a good tech tree in my opinion.
