Heh it still would be nice to have more variation in cap ships, but that should come with time anyway (All those empty slots in the capital ship factory have to be filled with something )

It would allow you to get an extra ship specially tailored to yourself. Be it a speedy overhauled carrier, or a monstrously slow capital ship packing an equally monstrous punch. It just fun to be able to have something you feel you put a part of yourself into...
Perhaps a toggle for max players per star system. That would be awesome... Edit: Not a toggle a drop down thing, my bad
Ok to clarify, my idea of a custom ship, would be based on a balanced point system. Each person would start with the same ship bought with the same number of points. Each game it resets to level 1, but the total kills and such are tallied over all games, with medals awarded. ALA BFME. It could even be something you buy later, and cant start with. I dont understand how it would not be balanced under these conditions...
What do you feel about my option?

What about something like BFME where the hero restarted at level 1 each game, but total kills and all stats like that were carried over, and medals awarded. (IE Orcslayer Medal for having killed a total of 1000 orcs or more, balrog slayer etc etc) Edit: Perhaps this could be added with a custom capital ship sorta deal. Where one of your capital ships could be personally designed by you. Would cost more but would be far superior. (IE a sort of points system, so if I want a carrier with 1
