Hello All, Yesterday I brought an Acer 24" widescreen monitor. Now I can't get DA to load at all. Does anyone know how and what settings I need to fix the problem?

Mr. Korx, I found the line for adding Asteroid fiels on a DA map. But Another question pops up. After I set up basic planetarty data to a star system, how do I get the custom planet data to work with the map? For instance I add in the Sol system and call one of the planets "Earth", then how do I get the earth to show up in game in stead of a random planet texture?

Zyxpsilon, Thanks for the info. I usually go to Memory-Alpha.org myself. I decided for major stars I'm just going to use the "Star Trek" fudge the time/distance factor, on the other hand I'll probably have to trim down a large portion of Red Dwarf star systems. I would have liked to use parsec distance, but that doesn't work with planets on the main map. Plus, I really don't like the math involved converting ly to parsecs. The map will be what it is. Sole Soul, I am creating a real star database. But I'm going to add in some Sci-Fi planet names. I found a stellar database that lists celestial and Galactic coordinates in LY. The coordinates are listed in XYZ format with the Sol system listed as (0,0,0). I am mainly looking at the (X,Y) numbers. So, 18/2=9*3=27 ly each direction. Now for the scale I'm using. one small square = 0.2 ly. 5 small squares = 1 ly. One sector square = 3 ly or almost a parsec. Unfortunately

I use 0.2 ly per small square. that gives me roughly 27 x 27 ly on a gigantic map. on the new map scale: 33 x 33 ly. thank you

Update I have my stellar database with 100's of stars in a 36 ly spherical radius. My map will represent an area 27 ly by 27 ly. Some of my stars won't fit by area, but i can still add a few by area. Any ideas on how many extra stars that i should add that will fit xy coordinates to the map? How big will biggest map be in TA?

Update, My database is now a 27ly sphere around Earth. There are a lot of systems!!! I hope to add more stars to fill in the Map edges.

Update, I had to redo my database. I'm up to 21.3 LY on the Galactic Coordinate system in my database. then I will plot out the stars. Then the plan is to add in Sci-Fi worlds and possible "real" observed worlds. I also was going to add a special resource to Epsilon Eridani for placement of Babylon 5 station. So should the resource be an influence resource?

Guys, Okay, I can create basic .xml files for use as components. How would the AI use them? Do they create there own ships or do I have to create the ships for there use. i.e. If I'm using fed ship designs, Do I need to create klingon designs if I want them to use the klingon ship models?
