And there's no warning, either to the consumer or the retailer,
Yes, there is. It's in the EULA, clear as day. Just read it. You do read the license agreements for the programs you purchase... right? (if not... tusk, tusk to you...)
so I re-installed the previous driver,
Did you install the older drivers over the top of the newer, or did you do an uninstall of the newer drivers first? (with a reboot in-between?) Makes a difference, you know. Yrag is correct on many points. Kill the OC (unless you go radical OC with special cooling, the benefits are marginal at best) , and manually set your video fan speed with Evga Precision. I would suggest 50% to begin with. <p

And how about O'Neill's hard-nosed approach in this series? Totally out of character. The whole show seems to be about how to create the most conflict between people. Even the ending when Telford shows up at Emily's front door. What?! Now we get an affair starting (or continuing) between those two, and the old one between Young and the good doctor possibly heating up again? PLEASE!!!! This is turning into a very bad soap.

And if the bar is continually lowered? What then? Because that is how it seems to be these days. The really good shows, like Defying Gravity, are canceled after a few shows. Others that are pure garbage stay on for seasons. I guess that only shows the general mentality of the current audience, I guess. Either that, or it shows what 'the powers that be' want us to watch. There is another new show coming in mid-November that I hope will be a

I know. But we can devote that hour to reading a book or something, and turn the cable box off altogether. Just because there is nothing better on, doesn't mean we have to watch/support the crap that is on.

This last episode was a little better. A very little bit better. I still saw the outcome, however. So it is still way to predictable. A sudden water shortage, and the next stargate/planet they come to is basically an ice planet. The SG team has to go far in their search for 'clean' ice/water (just like with the sand planet), while the Destiny's crew have an alien life form that is consumin

Others have mentioned software, and that is my main point. If you switch from a PC to a Mac you will need to buy all new software, unless you go the Bootcamp route. Which means much more expense than a simple computer/OS upgrade. You could end up paying more for the software than the computer and OS, depending on what you need to use. Even then, you will need to reboot the computer into Windows to use your current software (which may or may not run correctly under Boo

As to
The episode Light seems to show some good qualities in Dr Rush, that Colonel Young is paranoid, that Chloe is a skank, that both Dr Rush and Camile Wray presumed Colonel Young to rig the vote, that Colonel Young is only stupid and paranoid but is not immoral in regard to the lottery, that Eli Wallace is like a Wesley Crusher of generation Y, and that the shields of the Destiny are far more advanced than the metaphasic shields of the Enterprise D.
I
To clean the card, I should just get some of the PC cleaning swabs, and stick them into the vents to get the dust out, correct?
Compressed air blown into the vents is your best bet. Swabs can push dust further in. If you have another free fan port in your case, add the fan. Also, check ambient temps. If you are keeping your room warmer, the computer will also be warmer. And a few degrees can make a difference.

That cooling pad is designed to slowly cool a soft drink, and it simply could not take enough heat away from something that is introducing so much heat. Your CPU would fry by the time the cooling pad could do anything useful, and even then it couldn't keep up. But, you could always try it. I would suggest finding an older computer, like an old 486 based system, to try it on. They don't produce nearly the heat of newer CPU's, but I'll bet it would fry nearly as fast. And it wouldn't co

1) Even at .999c the ship could not have gotten several galaxies away in any time frame provided in any SG series. And as you said, to negate time you would have to be traveling at 1.0c or faster - which is a little bit harder than .999c. 2) I agree. 3) Yes, it is normally moving faster. But that alone should not require a 9th symbol. More likely, I would think, is the distance (and power requirements). It was indicated that several other 'Destiny' class ships

I hear a lot of excuses, but not much else. I had a hernia for 12 years. And, I simply lived with it. But it got to the point that I could not even stand up straight anymore or walk because of the pain. I moved to California, and a year or so later found the CMS program. Basically, state run insurance for low income residents. I signed up. I went to the "free" clinic, which referred me to the surgeon, which scheduled with the hospital - and it was taken care of
I am testing the effect of emotion on subjects while performing tasks critical to life.
You can not watch a movie and perform critical tasks at the same time. So, you should get away from the movie idea altogether. Once the subject has watched the movie, they will reset when they begin the task. You need to introduce the emotion while they are performing the task, as your quoted statement says. So, you need to use real peopl
3. the 9 chevrons in the "9 chevron address" have nothing to do with the location of where your trying to go... since where your trying to go is a moving ship. 7(6+1) is still for local, and 8(6+1+1) is still for long distance.
The 9th is because the target is moving? Correct me if I'm wrong but, don't planets move as well? The 9th could be required because of the distance, especially if the 8th was needed to provide the required power to reach Atlantis

I see some of them - but not many. Funny how this site has had so many problems over the past years. I really wonder about the education of the web designers, because it seems with each update new problems are introduced. I am currently trying out Opera, and the problem exists in both Opera and IE8.

If you are having that many strange problems, a complete format/reinstall might be in order. Something might not have copied correctly the last time, or you could have a nasty virus.
