[quote who="tetleytea" reply="17" id="1920462"]After all this has been said, I'm sticking to what I said earlier: if the AI is doing missile weapons at all, get the missile defenses first. At that stage of the game, they'll work fine. Heck, even off-type missile defense works fine. Then get the Hyper Computers and research what you need from there. Also, for these mega-battles, I'm not doing the big, bad ships anyway--I'm doing military starbases and spammin

in the colony list, just click on column titles
just look in the options screen under video options, and uncheck "fullscreen" see https://www.galciv.wikia.com/wiki/Game_Options for a listing of all options and some details on what does what (not 100% complete)

@sole soul all in all isn't the"best ship" balanced between weapons and defences ? (not considering research times)
hello, just as the title says I'm unable to find the smileys button anymore where there was a drop down list of all smileys ... both IE7 and FF3.03 were tried, along with clearing caches of IE7 though the few smiley codes I know still work like : :) ;) XD :D :p ;p but it's not really related
lol, I had a laugh at that so true, so true ;) now hopefully mine's on spore... I just hope they won't do 65546846854 add-ons XD
I wonder how this would work *raises another eyebrow*
if you're clueless as of using the registry, may I suggest to not fiddle with it as doing something wrong there may have unforeseen consequences ... more so since you got another easy solution

well since it seems nobody cares at stardock about this (or at least they didn't voice it) I'll point to a thread explaining the procedure for civilization 4 (same thing just different executable) http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=224178 moderators/admins: feel free to delete or ask me to delete if I'm going too far

although copying over directly the folder from one comp to the other might just work (even if some registry settings might be missing) it's better and cleaner to use the "archive" functionnality inside the apps I told you about this will make a "zip" like file of galciv2 which can then be copied over to the other comp, and will allow you to reinstall galciv2 in the way it's meant to be installed [e digicons];)[/e] (it's not really a zip file though, it's
I am generally good but almost always get the "leaning evil" because of colonization events, by the time I research xeno ethics 10bc / turn for 1000 turns is like ... nothing, and even sometimes I can outright pay it BUT I don't always take all evil choices in colonization events because some don't justify the management overhead (aka me, the player, need more time to handle planets with too much specifics) like +9% research or +20% growth... I'm not a programming guru but it seems 32bit pointers are already required for 2GB ranges which would make it a non-issue ? I just had a few days ago, an out of memory error from galciv2 while quicksaving the game (4GB of ram + XP64) (sidenote: launching process explorer AFTER the crash showed me a peak memory usage of about 3GB with 1GB currently used by windows and other programs, so I think galciv2 just crossed the 2GB treshold) while searching for other things for other games I stumbled on this information : <a href="http://www.amd.com/us-en/assets/content_type/DownloadableAssets/Expand_Memory_
after the game is installed, you can archive it and transfer it over
Through StarDock Central, or Impulse you need to : 1 - fully patch the internet connected computer galciv2 2 - archive the application 3 - transfer archive + to your non connected computer 4 - install SDC or impulse to your non connected computer and voilà ... :)
