Send your colony ship back to you homeworld and put 500 colonists on it! Otherwise you entire expansion is slowed down dramatically. I actually re-launch my initial colony ship with 1 colonist and upgrade it immediately. Then I re-launch it after the upgrade with full capacity. This way you get max population growth on your homeworld while the c

Enough about hot weather, who's got the coldest. I live in Houston now (pretty hot, but damn humid). I orginally come from Wisconsin, which has winter lows around 0 deg F on average. Not the coldest, but if you go to school at the University of WI in Madison, the campus is right between two lakes, with winds making the wind chill in the neighborhood of -40 deg F on the worst nights. My car wouldn't start for a week one winter. Then you can travel to the upper peninsula of Michigan, and see

thats why games come with a list of required hardware on the back or bottom of the game BOX or case Monc34, you wouldn't consider a patronizing statement like this to be childish? My assumption would be that pretty much anyone posting to a forum like this would be well aware of hardware specs...

Funny, but not surprising. Shat's not exactly in great shape, either. He'd have to bust his ass to get into shape for a spaceflight. Is this a true orbital flight, or just a pop and drop? I'd love to go up, but I'm not rich or famous, so keep lobbying for that space elevator... nothing gets very interesting until we can get people into Geosynchronous Orbit.

The amount of information you make available to the forums is appreciated. If this work is for a game update, I'm excited to see what you will have in Dark Avatar.

There is a difference between the D&D (i.e. d20) system and the GC2 system. The D&D system starts with a specific value and modifies that with a random number between 1 and 20. If you attack, you take your base attack and add 1d20... same for your defense: Armor Class + 1d20. That is significantly different than completely randomizing the entire stat. To an extent, both systems seem to lump two different things into one score. Evasiveness and Damage Absorption. There should be

The_Regicide: I enjoyed reading about your races, good background... a couple of friendly questions though. Do the Tranquility Corpus have any affinity to other silicon based life, like the Yor, and save their indifference for the carbons? The Bright Flame of the Burning Ones. Is this a weapon, a philosophical notion? Also, is the Bright Flame a fire in the oxidizing sense, or something more potent like nuclear reactions, or antimatter annihilation? What kind

Obviously, if you can mine some research resources, that will help... but I would get any economic & morale resources first, as these lead to more money, which you can turn into research or production. Luckily, your economy is flexible. If you have a true manufacturing juggernaut planet, you can squeeze research out of it by setting a research focus. Even without any labs, you can get a research boost if the factories are putting out enough points. This approach is decent after you've b

I would suggest a cloud city in the Venusian atmosphere first... slightly less magnetic activity on Venus. It's closer, too. Not to mention that at the right altitude, the conditions are the most like Earth besides Earth itself (in respect to temperature and pressure, anyway). I like any thinking of putting people into space on a permanent basis, though. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Colonization_of_Venus If you like orbital defense array, think about a Populace Control Array
