Frankly, I took GalCiv2's advice and updated the drivers, which promplty caused the game to stop working. Rolling back solved the problems. I definitely agree with the 'ain't broke, don't fix it' method. omicron

There is no port/starboard types of stuff, it will rotate to match. If you have a mouse with a scroll wheel, you can hold down the scroll button and use that to pan around the ship model. Omicron

I am having the same problem and it's just annoying. All I want to do is remove laser 3 and add a laser 4 or something, but the game acts like I clicked new instead of upgrade except it keeps the same hull. I didn't have this problem with the original game out of the box, it just started happening when I upgraded to 1.0X. All I want to do is be able to remove old tech component and add new tech component, I don't want to have to add engines, sensors, weapons, etc etc back in too, e
