Over Flanders Fields: Between Heaven and Hell. www. overflandersfields.com Not sure if there are many flight sim buffs here, but this thing is going to be the definitive WWI air combat sim.

When it comes to forum posting, I think not using spellcheck, or not even trying to use some approximation of proper grammar, should be illegal.
Well, with the recent forum update, I'm guessing you're missing a LOT of the game elements, depedning on when you got it. Apparently they've been hard at it up until now and still the official beta isn't released.
Finally, someone replied in the forum.
What is the "The Thing", sorry never watched the movie before. It's hard to describe what it is without ruining the great story. If you want to know, rent it and I promise you will be glad you did.
Just be sure you get John Carpenter's "The Thing" and not the 1950s black and white version, which if anyone here was scared by that... you're old. For me, the best monster hands down is Alien. Saw it first when I was way too young and now, in my 30s, still have an occ
Great. Now how about an update on the beta for pre-orders? Seriously.
Like that? I'm just frustrated because I know Stardock rocks with their support, but there has been no update on TPM's website for those of us who pre-ordered and expected a beta by May 8th, according to Brad's posted release schedule. Despite several forum posts on that site pleading for info, nothing is forthcoming, unless you come to the galciv2 website and get pointed to a gaming magazine. If Stardock can post about it here, you'd think they'd be able to take 2 minutes to post an update at t
HOW ABOUT AN UPDATE ON POLITICALMACINE.COM FOR THOSE OF US WHO PRE-ORDERED?!?
No kidding. I've always been impressed with Stardock's support, but this site has been disappointingly bereft of info. I pre-ordered thinking I would get the beta awhile ago, and think it would be most considerate for someone to take two minutes out of their schedule to give us a measly update.
Can anyone from Stardock give us an update? Clearly the 'release schedule' hasn't been met. I don't mind the wait, but wouldn't mind a bit of info.
uofadave- I'm guessing, as have others here, that you have a messed up install. It was recommended not to install the final version over any previous beta versions. I'd recommend you uninstall the game and install the final version, then report back and see if that does the trick. You're game is broken, so any saves you have really wouldn't be worth saving, in my opinion, in case that's what's holding back from starting from scratch.
uofadave, I'm not inviting your scorn by this question, but sincerely wish to know, as you've not indicated if you did so... someone else asked earlier if you had played the beta before the full version came out, and if so did you delete it as recommended prior to installing the full version? If that's not the case, and even if it is, would you please upload a savegame as per HunterADA's recommendation above so that we can see why your games are screwed up like they are?
Well done Hunter. I wish I had had the patience to respond as kindly as you have. An excellent suggestion.
I'm playing on 'tough,' uofadave, and am not having any problems with economy. I'm not doing as well as the AI, and it can sometimes be challenging to keep it going up rather than down, but I am not broke by any means. And I'm certainly no expert at this game. My research is set to "very slow" because I prefer the longer research time. What is yours set at? Your above post doesn't say. If you find a lot of people having the same problems you're having, then I can see that there
One thing that does deserve a WTF, aside from the op I mean, is this forum. I can't edit my post despite being logged in. To clarify the contents of my parentheses, in "tough" (aka 'intelligent'), the ai gets no bonus. Everything below that level it actually receives a penalty.
The fact that they are "at 60% on every planet through the whole game" means that you haven't found the end turn button yet, you can't read, or you have your settings just right to get such results.
LOL I'm going with "can't read," because everything he wrote is addressed in the manual, the search feature, and the post above this one. Seriously uofadave, if you're doing that bad, you need to lower the difficulty to "tough" or lower (which means the ai
I've yet to experience the prob you've described. Been playing Twilight since it came out with immense galaxies and no framerate issues, despite having a dated system. Here's the latest from Brad (Frogboy):
The final expansion pack for Galactic Civilizations II has been released! And we're very happy with how much people like it. At the same time, we're not done. Let me share with you some of our plans: * Right now, we're finishing up The Polit
Monsters from the id!
You sure you didn't accidentally misspell your username? I only ask because a couple of times I've almost created accounts on something with a username I use on other accounts/forums and realized that in my haste I switched two letters or maybe even omitted one.
Playing DA, latest version (g), and noticed that some of my ships have different hit point stats than others. Usually when I get damaged, the actual hp is read on the left, while max is on the right (ie., 2/5 for 2 of 5). Some of my ships have higher numbers on the left, though, like 31/24. Am I reading things wrong, or this a bug?
Whatever you do, don't get them both! I can't tell you how confused I get with the scroll/zoom/rotate views when I switch between games. Or just get 'em both anyway, and play when you get the time. Either way, you will have fun!
You know for a fact there's no aliens driving around shooting fricking laser beams at one another in space ships, do you? This was as blatant an attempt at trolling as I've ever seen. You know for a fact there should be a specific ratio of planets per star across all galaxies in reality, do you? Complaining about the lack of realism in a science fiction game is the most blatant attempt at trolling I've ever seen.
Boxster, chill out. He's just inoffensively expressing his th
And the achievements! Can't forget those!
I know what else I like!!! The endgame graphs. I luvs the graphs! And tons of them!
even when playing against 2 hard AI's the strategy seems to be "make a blob, throw at enemy". Over a dozen games, it's worked every time.
I'm hoping/expecting the ai to get some work. I'm also not finding it so difficult at hard levels. What I really enjoy is the challenge of playing mp.
