Yes, people still play 1.4.53... When going from "nothing" to something (constructor et al.), clicking "cancel" does not revert the build queue to "nothing." It chooses whatever was highlighted. Cancel functions properly if there's something in the queue already. If I already have transports being built and momentarily decide to highlight defenders but click cancel, that works fine. Recap: "cancel" doesn't work properly when there's nothing in the queue.
Great idea. Add more completely unenjoyable features. I'd say that by the time a race can become space faring, they have pollution under control. Sheesh. Try getting involved in important game issues.
I hope it dont get cut,its the only reason i even thought about buying the expansion. If its cut i may decide not to buy it. So lets hope its not cut I'm interested in the _game_. Epic generator will not save you from being a horrible writer. Logging will help decent writers keep notes. Logging will produce better stories. <TABLE cel
Wake me when they get Battlestar Galactica with closed caption available (up yours, Apple). I'm not deaf. I have deaf relatives. I have a problem with companies that can't make simple accessibility measures(Apple must die.)
I second JubJub's idea of arming troops the same way we arm ships (laser, Mass driver... missiles?)... Gc2 can simply decide that all troops use tanks and the missile part is solved. It's all about abstraction, right? This requires fixing the weapons/defense branches. Basically, all weapons and defense research should apply to every aspect of the game. No "starbase fortification" branch types where you can get missiles without having the technology. Starbases and troop weapons/defen
HOLY CRAP Finally somebody else that believes in this philosophy! Especially relevant in verbose languages like C++ and Java. I jest, of course. Commenting code saves my brain cells for the other things in life. I learned to comment the hard way--coming back to code after long periods and spending unwarranted time trying to figur
even when I'm tired or hungry or otherwise distracted, I'm less likely to make stupid mistakes that are hard to catch. Don't comment your code. If it was hard to write, it should be hard to read. <TABLE cellpadding=8 width="95%" align=cen
I remember when I was 15 and getting some on a regular basis. But that ended and I had a long dry spell until I went to college. It was some pretty tough times, but you get through it. Dude, I'm laughing. That came out of nowhere. Mumble's rocking it Grandpa Simpson style.
I understand linkin park Hello, I'm with the Terran Alliance. We claim these worlds for the nookie so you can take that cookie and shove it up your--YEAH!
using Microsoft Internet Exploder, which is a crime in itself. Yes it is. As for the OP, he's excited about the game. He's not whining about anything. I hope he gets what he wants for Christmas and becomes a great conqueror. Speaking directly to gamerkid, Spelling is power on a forum. Keep it under control and you ha
there would be a decent selection of "planet to space" weapons in which to take out some of the invading fleet. In Imperium Galactica 2, you could end up losing a good chunk of ships just trying to take out the planetary defenses. Once you landed troops, you had to fight on a 3D terrain. If you planned out the possibility of ground inva
Whoa. Holy fraktardness, Batman!
They should build on Shadowmaster's ideas. Seriously, wiping out a civilian population is crazy. I'm taking an extra transport everywhere just to make sure I have people on conquered worlds. If we have an opportunity to keep the infrastructure, let's have the opportunity to keep the people as well with a morale hit instead of your people with 80% approval. Separating military and civilian, along with useful defensive options, has my vote.
Cool. What sizes? Do you think it's better to spam lots of small ships or a few big ones. I'm thinking a few big ones but I'd have to look at the purchase and maintenance relationships.
And quick Q cuz I didn't grab a beta... is that a standalone purchase? Or will you receive something besides the beta when the game comes out? When you pre-order, you get the beta and the right to provide your opinion and report bugs during development. I am in the middle of a gigantic Metaverse game so I decided against getting the early be
Now,,can we get back to the AI's incapabillity to handle it's maintence costs? I can. I sense that the AI will collapse at some point on my current gigantic map. Never played gigantic before. With all anomalies gone and my two remaining opponents at war with each other, I don't see how either will recover. If I give them a large o
I agree that Stardock is a good capitalist company. Real capitalism where transactions are fair and all parties benefit. Not fascism/corporatism practiced by the likes of Electronic Arts and Microsoft. This ties in with the original post. The deal here is that a customer pays money with the belief that the product will be made as perfectly functional as possible. I don't a fair deal with most other game companies so they don't get my money. When transactions aren't fair, capitalism
Does anybody know why the graphics in Galactic Civ are so down to earth crap? The movies look like they where made at least 7 years ago! I expected more out of this!!! I'm the one with the problem when the OP wrote in that manner to complain? You're telling me that he couldn't have requested video card help in a different way?
Unfortunatly,,you are not one of them. Are you sure about that? Are you asking for a fight? I just want to make sure so I have an ample defense when kryo and CariElf come looking for people to ban. Any idiot can
Event logging with custom appending. Screen shot icon. Mission accomplished. Enough said.
(Unless of course you prefer the Bush/Cheeney/Rumfeld solution; making yourself a HUGE problem without correcting the one you set out to deal with). As much as I dislike the Bush Administration, their insane tactics and rational are _very_ useful against my opponents in GC2. You Europeans are weak (That's right, the entire continent.)
Reference Imperium Galactica 2. I'd like the entire act of planetary invasion and tile takeover modeled from that game. That's more of an idea for GC3.
Or worse. They put nice weapons on them. The AI can design ships but does the AI upgrade pieces of its existing fleet?
